Himalaya Restaurant in Sukhumvit, which was in a walking distance only. The restaurant will give you a feeling of being in Nepal, Tibet, Kashmir, and Darjeeling, The interiors have been decorated keeping in mind the local tradition and culture that have been ruling the Himalayan...region. The seats are arranged in a lower level and is very unique, similar to the local way of seating in the Himalayan region. vegetarian options like potato salad with black lentil patties called “Bara” accompanied with a mushroom dish – all tasted delicious.More

Nepal. Home of Everest and Momos. To be fair, a ton of other great stuff too, but that all kind of distracts from my title, so let’s stick with momo. Mutton - superb, Veg - tremendous! We ordered a chicken thali each and they were...served on brass plates with dhal, rice and poppadum along side a great curry. For the price I’m not sure this can be beaten. This place is great, and I’m excited to visit again.More

This lovely place has become our family lunch outing, the food is super yummy, authentic and service great. It is very atmospheric and we feel we are in Tibet when we eat there. They are super patient with our active 3 year old and we...love the weekly lunch menu which is a steal.More

We frequently visit this restaurant to try Nepali momo, snacks and food. Also good place for small gathering, Nepali community meetings. Food and service is great by smiling ladies. We had great outing with friends with Nepali foods, music and to top up dance at...the end. The music system is good too. Must visit if you want to try authentic Nepali foods and see some arts displayed at walls.More

The service at the restaurant has deteriorate from the past experience. The food does not taste authentic. The portion is very little as well. I visited around the Dashain festival, the Samay Baji set was just ok, but choila is not suppose to be like...that. Recently, I have been ordering online from the restaurant. The food does not taste good. I order chilly momo and the momo just had tomato sauce right away from bottle(roza or something) with chilly. There were no onions or capsicum.More

This restaurant should really be avoided. The food was absolutely disgusting, any indian sauce was basically a tomato sauce without any spices. We had phad thai, which again was the worst we have ever eaten and they charged us higher price than advertised in front...of the restaurant. Service was less than poor, however they charged tip automatically. Really terrible experienceMore

We had the Diwali Special as starter today. I noticed immediately the Plates are made of leafs. Never saw that before. Impressed. I am not used to Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet food. The taste of the starter was stunningly good. Our main course, the Chicken Thali, was a...bit disappointing. The Chicken itself was good, but as well the vegetable as the soup(?) were a bit tasteless, nothing special. The Naan bread which we ordered with this dish was maximum average. Did eat better Naan bread before. I would like to mention the service positively; friendly, attentive, endeavored.More

We go this restaurant quite often for dinner, it is a pity that such a beautiful restaurant is always empty and we are always the only people eating there. I would like to rate 5 star for the decor, which is one the best in...this class in the area. However the food needs a little improvement now. The first time we ordered the chicken masala curry 2-3 months back, we liked it a lot, after that 1st time the taste never came back, may be the chef was different. Achari Momo need some more Jhol in it as the momos were hardly soaked in it. The taste was nice. I would suggest you to please remove noodles from your menu, as the noodles we had last time was tasteless (No vinegar, soya sauce etc). It might bring bad impression for your restaurant. Also I would like to advise people reading this review that Nepali and Indian cuisine might have some similar menu items but they are supposed to taste different, therefore please do not go to this restaurant with the expectation that you will get a authentic north Indian food. Nepali food is delicious too but different than the Indian food, as in it less spicy and plain. We tried Veg Set in this restaurant and we like it. We find the lady doing dinner service extremely polite and humble. This is a nice place to go with your family. PS : We will keep on visiting this restaurant until we get the Chicken Masala Curry we got first time.More

Went for dinner around 5 pm.. 3 tables occupied total 9 customers.. ordered Crispy Bhindi Masala, roti , rice and buttermilk. 40 minutes later food is served (!).. bhindi not crispy, rice dried up and half cooked, fluffy roti and great buttermilk. Asked them as...to why am I getting regular bhindi masala and not the crispy... "that is all we have" is the answer.. so I asked them to cancel the order and get me aloo matar instead.. 10 minutes later the aloo matter shows up... raw peas and only chili seasoning, no salt no gravy... final bill arrives with charges for bhindi still in there.... lousiest Indian food I ever had... take a pass..More

This is a very cute family type restaurant. The deco is very earthy, seats are low, the waitress are very nice and seems they are freshly arrived from Himalayan region, like their smile , even though she took my order wrong, but brought me a...right one later. Car parking Is bit hustle. Make sure you don't miss the entrance. Otherwise, you have to make a big circle to drive back, it's a one way street. The food is different, I like it, quite heavy and strong flavor. Must try the yogurt drink, very refreshing. It's a very different experience, really worth a try.More

I found this restaurant because of the review in a foodie magazine so I thought why not. Food was tasteless. Everything was bland. There should be more texture on the curry. We were a big group so we ordered quite a lot- we had the...famous Prince Harry curry, lamb biryani, momo both chicken and mutton, different type of naan, butter chicken, fried prawns, fried paneer, etc. The only thing that is delicious is the Masala Chai (milk tea) I would say the best in town, but a bit too sweet. This is so disappointed because one of our friends who also dines with me on that night been to this restaurant for couple of times and it never disappointed her. This time, very disappointed all of us :(More

A couple of friends and myself are here twice. The food each time was good but the service was terrible! They act like your a burden. Out of my 2.5 weeks in Thailand, this has been the worst service by far. This place has tons...of notes on the wall saying how amazing the service and the food...the food was amazing, yes but the service, not so much. If your looking for a tasty meal and service really isn’t a big deal to you, then for sure try it out!More
