Bit expensive than we thought, not so busy place, can't say it's an authentic restaurant, a small portion of mix grill, rice and 4 juice was about 41USD

Just across from our hotel this restaurant says it serves Shisha... it doesn't. It says Pizza... it doesn't. In fact it served a limited amount of food. Lots of salads though. There's also an abundance of flies if you fancy inhailing them. The service is bad here while your stared at by a guy in white clothing I presume the... More

I was positively surprised about the great food that was offered. I had a vegetarian as well as a meat dish and both were excellent. Prices are acceptable and the restaurant is located very much in the center of the city. I will definitely be back.

We decided to go to arabesque in the middle of the afternoon after a craving for middle eastern food. Tucked away at the end of Sukhumvit soi 2, the restaurant is very quiet and represents a nice break from the hustling of this part of the city. The staff was very friendly and the service surprisingly effective. All the food... More

Visited this restaurant in 2014, this restaurant was opposite to the hotel where I was staying in Sukhumvit Soi 2. Nice Islamic culture. Find and delicious dishes. Will again visit this restaurant when in Bangkok next time.

After reading reviews of Arabesque, decided to go there for dinner, opting to sit inside the covered area which is decorated in typical Egyptian designs and paintings. Awesome Egyptian bread with hummus, well cooked tender lamb served with rice and fantastic Om Ali dessert! Staff were helpful and recommended some of the food which was good. Only missing the Egyptian... More

I was especially disappointed that they buy their pita from Foodland down the road. And it wasn't fresh. Helpings were fairly generous. The falafel was so dry. All in all a very average experience.

I went with a group of 10 friends and out of a huge list of various cuisines we ordered, only these rice (in picture) were worth the money. The service is extremely poor, the gap between the servings is enormous and they even forget to serve you the food but put it in the bill. There was a fight between... More

After reading the reviews I thought I would give Arabesque a shot as it was a rainy night in Bangkok and they are located across the street from my hotel. I was a bit disappointed. First I ordered the spinach sambousak but they were unavailable. The server offered me a mix of meat and cheese sambousak. 4 pieces, 3 of... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
