I went to this resturant last year and I am very impressed in the lobster cabonara. The cabonara at Whale's Belly is one of the most deliciuos cabonara i have eaten. The time passed for a year but I still remember the taste of cabonara. 👍🏻👍🏻

Recently moved into the area so trying to get a feel for the local restaurants - this was recommended by a Thai friend but sadly didn't meet expectations. Not really sure what this restaurant is trying to accomplish as its theme - service was good. F&B average.

I read a lot of good reviews about this restaurant. it is good food but I would not say it is worth the price. I would recommend going during lunch and getting the set menu, which is more affordable than dinner. The staff offer great service; is nice architecture. However, there are other places in Bangkok which have better food... More

Had my birthday dinner here with my husband last night. All the dishes were delicious especially cold tuna capellini and tuna tartar and also the charcoal bread. Mocktail was very good. Very elegant ambience and very impressive service. Would definite come here again and highly recommend this place to everyone!

i hardly give a good review to a restaurant. it has to be an exception this time. The food is fantastic. Must try the signature dish. I ordered the Chinese sea bass with teriyaki sauce. they cooked it just right. Highly recommended.

One of the best lobster bisque i have had is from this restaurant. Very generous portion and the taste is amazing.

So we came in late at about 10h30. The restaurant was about to close, not a problem, we could come back another time. But what irked us was that all the serves, cooks, etc.,... that we could see were bare-chested! They had the curtains drawn so ppl from the outside could not look in. I guess it was late so... More

The place has come highly recommended by my son and I had a brief review in "TripAdvisor" which had me approach the Whale's Belly restaurant with mixed feelings. We went for a family dinner on a Wednesday evening around 8pm. On entering the restaurant we've been politely greeted by 2 x waiters and shown our table at the right side... More

Very disapponting after having read a good critic in bangkok times. We start with the design, that I have to say , does not exist. Horror vacui? May be....is this a weird collection of things you always wanted to get rid off but not throw away? well :"somewhere we have to put all this stuff". Outcome is a ecclectic exhibition... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
