A nice place, although not very special, to have breakfast. We jumped into this place by accident. It is a typical restaurant aimed at backpackers and tourist.

My daughter and I went to eat lunch here today. The lady taking our order was unnecessarily rude from the beginning. My daughter was playing with a tissue box from both our table and the table next to us, the lady grabbed the tissue box from my daughter's hand and announced 'one tissue box per table.' (The restaurant was empty... More

Nice place in a good neighborhood. Great food and drinks (especially beer) selection and nice service. Food wasn't really special though and they forgot to serve one dish. Not so nice to have one person stay hungry on the table while everybody eats. Maybe good idea to check on customers every now and then.

They have great food, nice place, worth to try while you are near Khao San. Just need to add more hospitality, they not even smile when serving the customer.

Cozy, relatively small diner with a very friendly (Rumanian) owner who takes his time to chat with you. All the food we got was very tasty, and so good we went twice which we normally don't do when there are so many options available. Cozy House pretends they offer 'slow food', opposed to fast food, everything the serve is made... More

We went there for dinner and ordered two curries, they were good. I read some reviews where people were saying this is not a traditional place but I liked what I go and I actually appreciate if they tune it down for turists - I cannot stand super spicy food. There are many beers to choose from but I took... More

Chose this place because of the amount of customers! Bit nervous of Thai food so seemed like a good idea. It is only small, but the food is cooked to order fresh and in view. The guy in charge looks brusque but he's very helpful and quick to advise. Extremely good value - 2 of us had dinner, starters, couple... More

Although small, the restaurane is very "cozy" (lol). The best pad thai we ate in bangcoc, with nice price, lots of different beers and great service!

We choose this place because of recommendation on TA. We were quite disapointed. Food was average, good for tourist. Masaman and Tom yum soup were not spicy, not thai at all. Chicken with cashewnuts I did not like, souce was like from powder, little artificial for me. From the other hand there is a lot of imported beers and ciders... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
