This is a very nice restaurant with a modern clean interior and very friendly staff; it is perhaps slightly more expensive than many nearby restaurants but we thought definitely worth a little extra. They have an extensive wine list with relatively inexpensive (by Thai standards) decent wines. The Spring Rolls, Saté, and Green Papaya Salad were all excellent; the Chicken... More

Mazzaro is conveniently located close to several of the larger luxury hotels in the centre of Bangkok. Walk down a narrow lane by the side of the Shangri La Hotel, and the entrance is past the Mazzaro boutique. Indoor air-conditioned seating inside, however we preferred the outdoor seating area. The rack of lamb and the kobe beef were excellent, however... More

This is a nice little place. Unassuming from the location and appearance amongst the tourist shops. But inside and immediately you sense that this place belongs in the cool district. Or San Fran? Don't get too focused on the Italian here. Come for the Thai food. It's a bit fusiony and delicious. Quality ingredients as well. Fresh. Delicious. We sampled... More

We were in Bangkok for three nights and we ate at the Mazzaro twice. Initially we just called in for a drink after being turned away at the lebua state tower. Thank his we were this restaurant is amazing. We didn't need to know the standard in Bangkok to know this was one of the best holiday meals we have... More

Mazzaro is definitely worth taking a taxi/uber to go visit. Thai food is amazing, with their chicken wings standing out. Cocktail menu is interesting, with very strong but good drinks. They accept reservation but not necessary for lunch time.

While quite pricey compared to some of the surrounding restaurants we had an excellent meal here. Highly recommended. We had Kra Pow and pizza. A glass of wine was as expensive as a plate of food. The gelato was good as well.

The name is Italian but it is a blend of several cuisines. Italian, Thai, Asian, European etc. Feel the food was rather standard. not here not there. For an easy night out, it is fine, but if you want to eat Italian, or Thai or Asian etc, suggest to go to places where they serve authentic food. many items on... More

We were walking by when I recognized the name of this restaurant from my TripAdvisor scouring and decided to drop in. It was our only night in Bangkok, so we decided to get Thai food and we absolutely loved it. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, that we came back the following lunch before we flew home. Our favorite... This is a great restaurant with good food and service. The menu has a good selection of Thai and Italian dishes so there should be something for everyone. During my visit I also witnessed the staff deal very professionally with the rudest people I have ever seen in my life. I left a larger tip after seeing it :-) Food... More

After eating Thai food for one week, we decided we needed something different. This place was a little hard to find - it is in a lane off Charoenkrung Street. Wife and I both had pasta dishes which were of a good size and very tasty! The cost of meals is very reasonable but I don't know why some Restaurants... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
