It's one of our must-go places whenever we're in Bangkok...we always eat at least twice whenever we're in town..there is nothing touristy (they have English menus) about this place but there's a reason why both locals and foreigners keep coming...we've never had a bad meal here and will go back again without hesitation..

We were getting off the skytrain after searching for a specific recommended restaurant in Bangkok. You know the situation...found a great review, but really struggled to find the location of the place. Seems especially difficult in Bangkok because we had some trouble with taxis finding addresses. Looking over the edge of the skytrain, we see this place. Loads of open-air... More

Bit of a Bangkok must do restaurant this one. Been coming here for almost 20 years and it is still as fun, authentic and reasonable. Great buzzy atmosphere off the main street. The old staff are the same gang that I encountered years ago...and they cope well along with their younger helpers. Food arrival is Thai style...so not all in synch.... More

As far as restaurants go the food tasted pretty standard, service was robotic. My food was brought out 4 minutes before my Thai fiancee's. Witnessed a male server carry 1 dish of food to another table, not before he realised his fingers were in the food so he switched hands and wiped his fingers from the previous hand up and... More

This restaurant located in what once was a garage serves the best thai-food in Bangkok. My opinion. This is not fine dining. You have to visit to exoerience Suda. I have been there several times since 1990. All the thai-dishes are good and costs around 100 baht. And the staff will serve you what you have ordered when the food... More

This is a popular place with decent prices. The service is always slow, but get over it, the chow its always yummy. Just down from Asok BTS Station back towards Siam on the left side. After you go down left hand side stairs, do a u-turn and it is on your right side, a small soi, I believe the second... More

Visited the restaurant in 1990 the first time. Genuine Thai food ,the gaff has maintained the same standard over the years. The restaurant has basic tables and chairs nothing fancy .The turnover of customers is incredible. A popular place for Thais and expat community and airline crews. Situated on the opposite side of Robinson dept store. Serves great and the best... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
