We visited Bangkok twice during our holiday and both times we had diner at Suda. They serve typical Thai dishes. I particularly liked the fried battered crabmeat and battered green beans..The crispy noodles with beef or chicken are some other great dishes. We were served by an older lady who didn't speak English but the menues are in English and... More

We went here for a quick lunch because it is close to the office and the visitors fancied Thai food. I'm surprised they still do because this was awful. Yes it's cheap but also tasteless. All dishes loaded with sugar. There are much better places nearby.

I learned about Suda some time ago, and I have been back many times. The food is excellent and safe. I can recommend the whole menu. And if you order a Singha , ask for a frozen glas - you will get it.

We have eaten here on and off for the last 10 years. Some days we love it... and some days we love to despise it!! While the food is usually good, the service is hit and miss... sometimes it doesn't matter! It all depends on the day... the hour or the phases of the moon....?

Basic thai local food court restaurant in simple environment. Always packed, and good value for the money. Simple seating, plastic chair and tables. Good for casual lunch or dinner.

Suda is always my first stop on arrival in BKK. It's hidden a bit off Sukhumvit, by the Asok BTS station, but it's worth finding. It's one step up from street food, but don't be surprised to see a cat or pigeon lurking under your table. I've been going here for 10 years at least and have never had anything... More

I make sure to visit this restaurant at least once every time I visit Thailand (which I do 2-3 times/year). I have done this for about 10 yrs, and nothing much has changed during this time. The food is still good, prices are still fair, the owner (Madame) is as grumpy as usual. My personal favorite is Larb Gaj (lukewarm... More

I must have been within 50 yards of this restaurant hundreds of times over the years but never knew it was there until reading a revue, huge menu, everything looked well cooked, not the cheapest but well worth the money, very busy so have to wait a little bit sometimes, will certainly be using this place in the future

Nondescript food, mostly one-dish rice meals at near restaurant prices. We ordered four dishes - we left after two as the wait was unreasonably long. The stir-fry morning glory was good. The elderly ethnic Chinese Thai owner was profusely apologetic. Will not be coming back - better off at the food courts in Terminal 21 and Robinsons across the road... More

Suda is a restaurant just beside the Hemingway Restaurant. It's more popular, judging by the number of people there. Most of them are non Thai people. The reason: the menu is in English and the food cheap. We stumbled upon the restaurant after a drink at Hemingway's and decided to have local Thai food for lunch. Food is ok, tomyam... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
