Very small restaurant - not fancy - in the middle of a small Soi, off the Sunday Walking Street. Great reviews, so we were excited to try it. There are about 8 tables for 2 or 4 people. Tables for 2 are quite small. Everything...is close together. All seating is inside. Menu includes several kinds of curry, with a choice of chicken, pork, fish or shrimp - each priced differently. Plus a cashew and a sweet and sour dish. A full page is set aside for Khao Soi, which was mentioned in many reviews. I ordered the Khao Soi with chicken, which had a very good flavor (not too spicy or bland) with lots of meat and crispy noodles on top. It came with a side dish of red spicy paste, lime moon and a piece of purple onion, but not the usual pickled greens. In the bottom of the bowl were three pieces of steamed broccoli and three pieces of cauliflower - a first addition to any Khao Soi from past meals. Husband ordered Fried Rice with Pork. He was hoping to order an egg for the top, but that did not seem possible. While my dish was flavorful and full of chicken, his was bland (picture Chinese buffet rice) and devoid of pork. Thank goodness for a big bottle of Chang beer! All in all, things were just OK. We were not impressed and thought it did not deserve the rave ratings. Details were sloppy and prices much higher than Kat’s Kitchen or Coconut Shell. Service was OK, but not really professional. The main concern seemed to be moving people to smaller tables to squeeze in more customers.More

I think this place serves good tourist Thai food in a local environment because foreigners won't probably enjoy local food that much anyway (too spicy and complex flavors). The price is not that cheap. As others have mentioned, it's a very small place with only...about 15 seats and 1 cook (probably) in the kitchen, so better book in advance or come early. The local signature dish, Khao Soi, was luke warm and too many fried noodles on top (huge serving), which was bit of a let down. Overall, not bad, but average.More

Best food we had in chiang mai by a landslide. Cute little place with only like 6 to 8 tables. We ordered the khao soi, massumen curry, and minced pork basil with a couple Chang beers. All SO mouth-wateringly delicious. Especially the khao soi. Food...takes a little while to come out since they’re maybe one or two ladies in the kitchen. But everything was just so so flavorful. Only thing I’d say to add would be maybe some soft music in the background, otherwise nothing else to fault! Wish we had another night in chiang Mai to come back.More

Delicious food. Favourite place so far in Chiang mai. Pad see ewe, fish cakes, green curry and morning glory greens are highly recommended

Nun's is a little restaurant in an alley off Walking Street, and it's a great find. Its size - it's small even for a 'small' Thai restaurant - means you might have to wait during the main dining hours, but I think you'll find it's...worth it. I stopped in with a couple of friends and everything we had was different and very good. We all agreed we'd come back. Service was very good, too. One of the best kao soi's I've had, and they give you cut up chicken breast, not a leg, when you order it with chicken, which I like a lot.More

The Khao soi at Nuns was the best meal I’ve had in Thailand. So tasty and great mango sticky rice too. Absolute five star meal.

Best food I tasted in Thailand. The Khao soi is beautiful, with just the right amount of heat and absolutely delicious, and the Mango sticky rice the perfect end of meal.

After seeing all the good reviews, I was hoping for a real treat, The portions were large, the prices good, the service friendly en the small place was packed. But the food? Overall very mediocre and the meat in both dishes was very chewy and...dry and I must say, both dishes ranked about the lowest of all food I had in the last 6 weeks in Thailand.More

After two weeks in Thailand traveling to multiple cities, my husband and I both agreed that Nun’s was our best meal. Incredibly authentic and delicious, it is absolutely worth a stop! Bear in mind the restaurant is small and fills up quickly, so best to...arrive before you’re TOO hungry!More

We ate at Nun’s early 2020 , for the first time, and loved it right away. Unfortunately our trip was cut short because the pandemic hit. We weren’t sure if it would still be there , or be as good , when we came back...to Chiang Mai recently. Of course, it’s still there ,and still serving such good Thai food. Nothing has changed. It’s still tiny ,and you’ll probably have to wait to get a table. I don’t think the prices have even changed from 2 1/2 years ago! Same friendly staff and same hot ,fresh , incredibly tasty food. Can’t wait to go back next year. Paul and Debbi- Vancouver, CanadaMore

I visited this little restaurant with my friend. It is very typical tie. Extremely small. You will get to know your neighbor and the food that we ordered. Each was fresh and fantastic. I watch them move and I watch vegetables arrive and I only...wish I could get vegetables that look that beautiful in my country when I went shopping each time. I highly recommend the food & it is so reasonably priced I'm wondering how they do it but busy they are. The people were coming in ordering taken out and each seat was pretty well full while we were there. Go and check it out. It's a sweet lane that it's in alsoMore
