We live local to this hotel so decided to try some of the main restaurants. Caprice was excellent from start to finish. Ambience with the piano playing in the background was first class. Each course was served with elegance and each of the courses of the set menu were excellent. Warmed bread with a tangy red pesto dip. Salmon Amuse bouche. Followed by seared tuna then a flavourful soup. Each of our steaks were cooked as ordered. A light mousse dessert and coffee to finish. First class for sure.
We had also done the Chinese, which is excellent, but the price increase on the Peking Duck makes it expensive.
Rossi, we opted for the set menu (changes every month) great value, service with some great courses, on ambience and food quality we would place it just below Caprice.
The Grill Room, again a set menu. Again very good, especially the crab corn soup and the steak main. The salad was a little bland and the dessert way too heavy. Things like the bread not being warmed also mean we would place this just below Rossi.

Wow! Brilliant ice sculptures, fabulous floral displays and a myriad of twinkling lights turned the poolside of the Royal Wing and Caprice restaurant into a romantics paradise for a wonderful St. Valentine’s Day dinner.
With live music and splendidly decorated tables, this was a truly exceptional evening in which we were served a 4 course dinner that fully lived up to our expectations.
The real stars of the evening were the restaurant staff who worked tirelessly but always with a smile and a sense of humour, their rapport with the guests made the event extra special.

Last year we went to the Caprice Restaurant, Royal Cliff and had such a wonderful evening we decided that's where we would again this year, and we wasn't at all disappointed, a very warm welcome on arrival, escorted to the poolside for photographs next to a beautifully laid out red carpet, ice statues & an amazing array of flowers. We were pampered all evening by manager Thibault Sellier and his wonderful staff, nothing was too much for them to ensure we had a fantastic night. The layout of the tables around the pool, the music and love songs, the service and the food and wine made it a memorable evening indeed, absolutely first class. We'd like to thank everybody involved for a magical evening, you have all made it very easy for us to know where we'll be for Valentines Day 2021, but I'm sure you'll be seeing us before then.

In February 2018, I wrote a glowing review of this restaurant, in the Royal Cliff Hotel Pattaya.
How things have changed
In February 2019, 7 members of our golf group ate there, and such was the delay in service that one of members actually went in to the kitchen to find out what was happening
We were given a free dessert course, scant compensation.
This year, February 2020, I again dined with my colleague and GP, and once again the service was slow; such that the French Manager actually apologised to us.
I subsequently wrote him a formal letter of complaint but perhaps he feels that a ‘laissez afire’ attitude is acceptable, but I find it totally unacceptable that he did not even have the courtesy to respond to me.
Overall the hotel remains tops, but the crown gem that was the Caprice has well and truly slipped.

The view was beautiful and serene as we had our dinner at the beach. The setting of the romantic dinner area was wonderfully prepared by the staff.
The food was amazing which was prepared by well-renowned Chef from the restaurant.
The staff were exceptional to our needs. Even before the dinner event, the caters to my requests through email as this was my anniversary dinner with my love one.
A special thanks to Mr Thibault for keeping in touch through emails to make the dinner a great event.
A special thank you to Mr Thomas, our waiter-in-attendance for his wonderful service and friendly conversation.
Thank you to all the other staff who were friendly and wonderful to us.

We once again celebrated Valentine’s evening with a super-romantic dinner by the pool at Caprice. The setting was simply marvellous and much effort had been made to make the event ‘special’. We had planned a nice dinner at Caprice to celebrate our 16 year Marriage anniversary.
The restaurant sent us an email to confirm our booking.
Guess what. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told the restaurant was closed !
This has totally ruined what was supposed to be a nice evening out in these corona times, making us rush to find a replacement restaurant as most places close early.
Thank you Caprice for this "memorable" experience! Not!

Starting with a cocktail overlooking the pool at sunset was perfect. Then, we moved to our inside table to enjoy our superb dinner with a perfect wine from their extensive wine list. My friend’s grilled prawns were excellent—thoroughly enjoyed. I choose gnocchi with a ragout of slow braised short ribs—excellent. Overall, a fine dinner and wine with great service allowed us to savor our special evening.

Great service lovely place and food. They have set menu, change every 2 to 3 weeks, great deal. 999 bhat for a full course dinner. Can With wine paring too. Nice hill settings the hotel is located. Highly recommended. Must try when you are in Pattaya. Thanks for the great service, keep it up !!

The best total dining experience ever.
