Au Bon Coin is a cute, lovely restaurant, maybe 10 tables with very nice atmosphere. The Chef/Owner seemed like a jolly fellow which surprised me because most French Chefs are not overly friendly. It was no surprise when I learned he's Spanish! The menu was small but the choices were varied and interesting. For starters I had the Mussels which... More

Either you know the place, or you have to be Indiana Jones to find this diamond. Nested in a mini jungle, away from the traffic. The restaurant is charming, typical french provencial restaurant. Service is top, you feel home. Duck pate, shrimp cocktail and foie gras were our apetizers, very tasty and chunky for the pate, great. Lamb sweetbread and... More

Au Bon Coin is hidden away in a suburban bungalow in Pattaya. You walk up the drive, with lights under the trees and shrubs, until you come to the kitchen on one side of the house. Greetings as you go in, and a blackboard with today's specials lead you to what was once the verandah, sloping gently to let the... More

Our third or fourth visit, and we remain quite happy. Wonderful environment, albeit not easy to find. Very good to excellent Thai and French food. The fish was perfectly prepared. The wine cellar is adorable, albeit small, but sufficiently stocked with some great, reasonably priced labels. Not an exhaustive list, but happy we were with several top-shelf, old family labels.... Located in a small soi, au bon coin stand in charming house. The ambiance is cosy and Jose the owner is a charming host whom know what s he is doing. I had a superb ris d agneau and a gambas choux farcis, my clients were also very happy with their choice. Amazing food, perfectly executed and very tasty, experience... More

My favourite dish is the 4 hour lamb stew! ***** It is excellent. I've tried to recreate it at home in NYC by using any lamb stew recipe and cooking it for four hours. It is never the same as in Pattaya. I don't get to Pattaya but once a year and a trip or two to Au Bon Coin... More

This is some of the best food you will find in Pattaya. Top quality every time we go, friendly staff and great wine selection. Perfect for a date or a dinner with friends. Try the 5 hour lamb, it melts in your mouth.

My holiday to LOS, basically designed to revisit my favourite Pattaya restaurants, continued tonight at Au Bon Coin in Jomtien Beach, Pattaya. There is lots I could say about this rather unique restaurant but just read the EXCELLENT reports here on TA because, in my humble opinion, they are all accurate However, I would like to share a story. After... More

I've been to this place at least 10 times and will keep coming back as long as they make their signature 5 hour lamb(you don't need to wait for it that long). The food is just simply amazing . The pan fried gras, the 5hour lamb, the cheese plate, mustard rabbit, hazelnut ice cream . Everything!! Highly highly recommend it.

The first thing to mention is that it is hard to find, tucked away on an unmade road you could drive or walk past it without even being aware that it's there! However it is worth the effort and when you enter the restaurant, you find yourself in a warm and relaxing atmosphere that you seldom encounter nowadays. I always... More
