This restaurant was part of our Hanoi day tour and we had a set banquet style meal which could not be faulted. Atmosphere, decor and service were exquisite.

I did the cooking class here on a rainy Sunday morning. What a great experience! I was the only one in the class. We walked down to the market to get a couple of things for the day and then went back and had a ginger tea, which was lovely. For the cooking class we used a cleaver, which was... More

I ordered the classic dishes comprising Bun Cha and deep fried hanoi spring rolls. Both dishes were excellent and prices were reasonable too given this is a restaurant in a tourist area of hanoi.

We stayed in Hanoi for 4 days. While we normally try to vary our dining experiences, we ended up returning to Restaurant 96. In fact, it was the best food we had in Hanoi. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was spectacular. The ambience can be a bit off putting as it appears kind of dark from the... More

The food here is really tasty. Get a clay pot, you won't regret it. The meat in these dishes is really tender and the sauces are rich and flavoursome. The ambience inside is nice or you can sit on the balcony. Great staff. Midrange prices. One of our favourite upmarket places in Hanoi.

Welcoming, polite staff; friendly atmosphere, delicious food, what more could we ask? A wonderful souvenir of our time in Hanoi. I would encourage anyone looking for a special restaurant in the old quarter to eat here.

This is a good find. The food was tasty and well presented. The staff are polite even though they could use 2 more downstairs ( there is another seating area upstairs). Prices are very reasonable. We will go back.

Stumbled across this restaurant and then checked out the reviews! The previous reviews weren't wrong, this was wonderful! Got in around 6pm and sat out on the second story balcony overlooking the street below. Had the vegetarian spring rolls as an entree which were delicious (a serving of 4) then my husband has lan luc(?) a beef dish on a... More
