Food was ok. Music was thumping. Waiters smoked cigarettes which was offensive. Worst part was the ripoff bill at the end. Scum bags

There's a trend in Hanoi: classic/famous restaurants will have an imitation with the same/similar name on the same street (think McDowell's vs McDonald's from Coming to America!). This is the case with Cha Ca La Vong. Be sure to look at both the name of...More

The waitress is not friendly. The portion is small and expensive (170.000d per pax). Very disappointed.

We certainly went to the right Cha Ca La Vong and we didn’t expect to be disappointed. The name of the dish is misleading because it’s not grilled - it was already cooked before serving on to you and then cooked again vigorously in a...More

The receipt says No. 17 Cha Ca - but signage outside is No. One 14. We think it is a SCAM. Our hotel recommended the place and we walked in Old Quarter to locate it. Miniscule portions of overcooked rubbery fish. Very OVERPRICED.

I have read the review saying that the bad ratings are due to the competition across the street, it is not. We went to the original restaurant on the second floor with hardly any ventilation. They don't speak English so they give you a card...More
