After a couple of great meals in Vietnamese but more touristy restaurants in the first couple of days, we had decided to eat 'local' this evening, but unusually, did not have a plan. Got literally dragged in by the guy in the street (the only one in any kind of uniform). Although traditional seating style and decor, the internal marketing... More

I had a phenomenal meal at this establishment. I've been in the food industry for over 10 years and thought this deserved my first restaurant review. The restaurant was full and service was still attentive and quick. The lady who took our order, possibly the owner, was bouncing around and interacting from table to table. Before we even ordered our... More

I was disappointed to find that they had no menu in this restaurant. Only Cha Ca. Definitely not to my taste. Pretty expensive only for the fish and sticky noodles.Nothing wrong with the food except that you have no choice. Once you place an order it does not matter for the management weather you eat it or not. I only... More

Visited this place based on recommendation and that they've been mentioned in international magazine. Food was fine, nothing to shout about and price was expensive relatively.

The waiter looks moody and quiet all the time, didn't show you the price upfront and serve you directly, it is expensive compare to the other restaurants the locals are visiting. Not recommended despite almost all hotels recommended it.

The place was crowded when i was there and table was an issue. Finally we got table and ordered the food. The food is really good and not pricey either. In general this restaurant is one of the local types and worth to pass by.

We were so disappointed being here for dinner. It has no taste like I heard before and it is too expensive for such a tiny portion that they told us it was for 3 people. Fish was greasy, staff was not concentrated. We ordered glass of ice cubes with the opener but it seemed they did not want to serve... More

Asking the hotel staff for the best well known "Cha Ca" in Hanoi and all recommended me this one. It looks very old one that attracted us from the first moment with cutie old fishing man, paralell sentences displayed in side. However, we was shock by the bad attitude of the guy who was very rude when we want to... More

I went 4 people and got only one dish which has only small 12 pieces of fish in the pot with a lot of oil. (170,000 x 4 = Total paid 680,000 VND) The test was so bad, so oily and bad smell. Do not go their. Hope Cha Ca La Vong will finish their business soon.

Prices on the wall did not match what was in the menu which then did not match with the final bill :/ Extremely misleading, very pushy staff when ordering! Only redeeming factor was the fish, portion size small however (PS: Don't order the fried dumplings, they are just fried bread)
