The staff were very helpful and attentive. Our first order came out wrong but they were quick to rectify. Very reasonably priced, food was delicious especially the garlic rice.

I went there with a friend,we were starving so we looked at the menu and it seemed super good. My friend order fried spring roll and I ordered the fresh ones plus a grilled octopus with chilli oil. The friend spring rolls arrived after 4 minutes we were sitting, surprisingly! You would expect the fresh ones to arrive first as they... More

Hi, For your information, the fried spring rolls need to be prepared in advance (normally keep frozen) and just fry it before eating. Can not prepare everything after the order since it takes few hours to prepare. However the fresh one is just to be made when customers make the order. Can not make them in advance. So you have... Ate at Five Oysters restaurants on several occasions. The pork and prawn banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake) was delicious as were the grilled oysters with cheese. Big bottles of Saigon Green beer were 12000 dong, Chilean red/whites 50000 dong per glass and Australian red/whites 65000 dong per glass. Try the rooftop section of the restaurant with great views of the street.... More

My partner and I had dinner here last night. The food was delicious, the duck with passion fruit sauce was amazing. Beers here are very cheap, Tiger beer is 22000. We had 2 cocktails at 70000 each which were very nice. For entree, we had crab and corn soup then the duck and pork for our mains, 2 cocktails and... More

We had 2 dinner here. We came here to try the fried oyster. It was absolutetely perfect! So fresh and so tasty. The squid and prawns were also superb (we have tested 3 different type). But the snail stuffed with minced pork was nothing extra. The staff is polite and look your wish. The prices are reasonable.

The restaurant serves very good food for a very cheap price. The steamed pork-prawn springrolls were amazing, you should try them! We can also recommend the pho bo soup, chicken curry, grilled eggplant with soy sauce and deep fried sprinrolls with pork. Friendly, English-speaking staff!

Great food and service at an amazing price. The value you receive at this restaurant is wonderful. Walk a little further down Bui Vien to reach this restaurant and pay 2/3 the price you would for better food compared to restaurants at the beginning of the strip. I have been to Saigon 6 times and I have not had a... More

The restaurant was just in front of our hotel, but it actually took me a few days to notice it even though I had read about it. We ate there twice and were very happy with the meals. A little more expensive than some other restaurants around, but to my surprise the portions were very big. We ate there 2... More

Description
Five Oysters Restaurant proposes an authentic and fine Vietnamese cuisine, especially seafood. It is located in the busy Bui Vien St. but not in the noisy part of this backpacking street. You can choose a seat in front of the resto to watch people walking and the traffic or a table inside to dine in the cozy dining space. Since the resto owner's hometown is Long Hai beach where is famous for seafood and oysters, you can find seafood and other local food here really fresh. Not like amost other restaurants in backpacking area which are owned by foreigners, this resto is 100% Vietnamese. Check out this place if you 'd like to try a True Vietnamese kitchen in Saigon.
