A cool coffee shop with slow chill music, some natural light and even bird sounds. This is a really great place for me to work with my laptop. However, you may receive an unwanted welcome from the local mosquitoes too so prepare yourself. There is...an old ac but I don't think they would turn it on bcz there're enough fans and actually it's not so hot after you sit down, get an ice coffee and relax. I'm not a coffee buff and I only ordered one Shake coffee ( mix with vanilla ) so I have not much to say about the coffee. But, from the detail menu, I think the coffee here must be pretty good. The menu prices are slightly higher than I expected but right now, I'm very relaxed so it's worth it. Another good thing is that they use bamboo straws. I love old-style coffee shops. You too ?More

All the cafes that I visited in 14 Ton That Dam were brilliant but this one was my favourite. It's a little harder to find than some of the others, but it's worth hunting it down because this place really is gorgeous. I fell in...love with it instantly. Cool, grungy decor; chilled music; comfy seats to lounge in....it's the kind of place you could easily lose hours in. Loved the cute cats too - they made it feel even more like home.More

I guess they dont have many guests at a time. Will be a bit hard to find the place, however worth finding a gateaway spot in this busytown. Accompany by cute cats. Love the music they play and the chess table too. They have simple...menu with drinks and snacks (spaghetti & french fries) If you wish to know how life was 15 years ago in here, give it a try!More

Just stumbled upon this cafe when it popped up on my Google maps. A little difficult to find (go between the buildings where all the bikes are parked & up the stairs to the first floor. If you think you're walking into someone's home you've...found it) so worth it. Super cute, you feel like you're drinking coffee at home. This is the exact place I wish we had back home to spend all day studying in. Definitely recommend it if you fancy a chill spot to listen to some music, read & have your coffee. ❤️More

I love all the little funky cafes in the crumbling old apartment building of 14 Ton That Dam. Its a maze of grungy stairs with graffiti, dingy hallways often with doors to apartments open to let in the air where an old couple sit watching...a vintage tv and several pairs of shoes by the door. This is an amazing place to explore, and Things Cafe is a great place to ret up before you continue on your way. I love places with cats- my boyfriend didn't like the lack of AC but there are lots of fans and it didn't bother me. I just had a coke so I can't speak to the offerings, but if you are in the area, go explore and check it out for yourself!More

Headed to this place on a rainy day and managed to find the right alley and staircase to go down/up. Iced coffee was good and came out pretty fast. Server was uninterested in us, playing on his computer, and served us coffee when we asked...- reminded me of home =] Place could use a dusting. We happen to like cats and found the one chilling in the counter to be quite sweet. We'll be back.More

No sign on the street! You need to turn into an alley and climb the stairs to the right. First floor, then follow the small hidden signs. Sounds like a lot of trouble, no? But once you found it you'll realize you've discovered a peaceful...sanctuary from the heat & hurly-burly of Ho Chi Minh City. Quiet French music plays & old comfy sofas scattered about, some tables & chairs, the walls hung with curios and classic pop posters. Coffee strong and tasty. Staff lovely. Spend an hour or two tucked away and hook up to the steady wifi if desired. Great alternative to the chain shops. You might even run into some kindred spirits for a chat. Up to you.More

I used to love this place. The old style of the building and furnitures were sweet. Unfortunately, the service isn't so great anymore and the place looks dirty. They have untamed cats that climbed on the tables, put fur in our drinks, stamp on the...leaking water from our cold drinks and spread it all over our board game and cards. One of them was in heat and kept yelling for most of the time we were there. I told the staff twice to put that cat elsewhere (like another room) or at least restrain the place where it can go with a leash, but they did nothing to help making us and the other customers comfortable. The cat (the one that was in heat) ruined some of my cards and climbed on other tables as well. Don't go there if you don't want your drinks, paper work or games spoiled.More

I visited Things Cafe by a friend suggestion on a place to do photo shoot and this cafe was exactly what I was looking for. You can find many things from the past in this cafe: typewriter, old portraits, telephones, old motorbikes... I guess this...is why they call it "Things". "Things" has a spooky and lonely feel, sometimes you can hear voice of cats moaning like baby crying. Employees were not so friendly with a cold attitude and even some "odd" behaviors. All serve to the weird feeling of this place. Drinks were normal and you have to wait pretty long too (~20m), I guess people come here only because of its look. In short, this place is perfect for getting vintage look shots or simply for getting away from all the hustle of Sai Gon..More

Absolutely delight of a cafe in the heart of Saigon. Amazing decor , laid back atmosphere, simple menu, good wifi! One can spend all day being around here.. The building that leads to the cafe is quite interesting in itself. Somehow this place seems to...be not so known by the tourists.More

Sadly this place is no longer the gem it used to be. Badly maintained, dusty and a bit grim. Unfortunately drinks we had were awful and we couldn't drink them :(. If you knew this place in it's hay day - keep your memories and...avoid going back!More

This small cafe's tucked away in a large building which you might think is derelict from the exterior. A great space to whisk yourself away from the hustle and bustle of HCMC.
