Just an average Spanish tapas Bar. Really not a memorable experience but not bad at all, just ok. Nothing more, nothing less.

I've often heard that the worst time to try a restaurant is when they're not busy. I tried La Plaza for lunch and was the only diner. The server (owner?) was quite busy taking care of business on the phone, and I felt like I was interrupting by coming to eat. I ordered a glass of house red wine ($4),... More

We had different tapas and were delighted with most of them. Only the patatas bravas were a bit disappointing. The restaurant seems to be for sale... Anyway, we hope to have another chance to come back.

Been to this tapas bar a few times, love their atmosphere, the service is attentive, also love their tapas, very fresh and tasty, especially the grilled veggies and garlic shrimps! Happy to have found this place and highly recommend this place if you love tapas!

We stumbled across this place and could not be happier with our find! The food and service were fantastic. The chorizo is so good we had to order more!

We arrived at the end of their lunch service -- which might account, in part, for the indifferent service. The food was also a bit uneven, but some was simply outstanding. The chorizo, albodingas, and shrimp dishes were all delicious, but the star was the menudo (tripe). One of our party was Hispanic and she was ecstatic about the menudo... More

It is a sort of tradition for us to find at any place where we are in the world a nice Spanish Tapas Restaurant ... and we found it also in Phnom Penh ;-). La Plaza Tapas Bar is a small and cosy restaurant with a large selection of warm and cold Spanish Tapas. And you will get there of... More

We had tapas and beside the shimps with garlic, they were not tasty. Fried chirizo was dull, cheese and fish croquette were just ok, vegerables a la plancha very greasy but nothing special. Overall we were disappointed. The worse came later, when the food proved hard to digest.

This is a boutique restaurant that makes you think you are in Spain. It is owned by real Spanish people and they cook very traditional dishes like in Spain. I love the authenticity of their cuisine and the modest but detailed decoration inside. Their paella takes a long time to cook, but definitely worth the wait.

Description
Tapas are the result of hundreds of years of Spanish culinary history and evolution. The best recipes for simple, tasty and healthy food have become a standard and a way of life for Spaniards.Few other countries enjoy their food as much as Spaniards do. Spain’s philosophy of food is to get the most possible flavor out of raw ingredients, using very few sauces and condiments. Vegetables are grilled or baked, to enhance their flavor, and then roused with fresh olive oil to complete the experience. Prawns are simply grilled with salt or quickly cooked in garlic and olive oil. Clams are cooked in white wine or just grilled and covered with fresh oil, garlic and parsley.
