This place, is a little hidden is a gem. Good French and Lao fares are available at a more than decent value for money. Wine by the glass, fresh juices and beers, and expect the owner to treat you with his piano when dinning.

I rarely write bad reviews but we were looking for some tasty Laos dishes so followed Tripadvisor here! I have never eaten Asian food that tasted like it had never seen a spice or herb till now. Larb ok, noodles and stir fry chicken horrible. Nice people and maybe French food ok?

This is a quiet restaurant in a side street - away from the bustle of tourist land. It felt a bit old worldly in a lovely way as if it wasn't bowing to pressure. The food was simple and very tasty- we had the steak with spicy tomato sauce and fried rice. Both dishes were wonderful. To top off our... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Vientiane. Not too large venue, in city historical center, very convenient location. However no Wi-Fi.

Been there twice and the food was great! Today I had the fried chicken with bamboo and vegetables on glass noodles. Fresh and tasty! Staff is very nice as well. Definitely recommend! :)

A truly fantastic meal was had here on NYE 2016. We chose a french menu, but returned later in the week for a Lao lunch. It was hard to say which was better. A fantastic kitchen must be behind this place - I am still thinking about my NYE dinner 2 weeks later....

Tasty food, a mixture of hearty french cuisine and different laotian dishes, with sometimes very personal touches. Very refreshing to notice that the cook knows exactly what he?/she? is doing - meat tender as butter, vegetables still crunchy, tasty small details finish off the plate. Plainly put - VERY GOOD FOOD. Attentive but not intrusive very soft and pleasant service,... More

Excellent food! I had beef lak and long bean salad. Both were delicious and clean. The place is cozy and quiet

This little restaurant is just overall good: food (interesting combination of lao and french dishes), service and location.

I've been to Douang Deuane on every visit to Vientiane, and apart from one visit, it has always been a good place to sample good quality Laos food. This time, the food reached new hights. The salmom larb is a must - unlike salmon Thais in Thailand, the chef cooked the salmon and then added the larb seasoning. It was... More
