Great place to chill, view the river, the passers by, now serving steak from restaurant below, so even wider range of food, always music, not too loud, sometimes English songs sung well, just a great place to hang and and not spend too much.

This is a very good local restaurant, the food was good the service excellent and they do cheap G & T 25000 kips, we went twice we liked it so much. They have a singer most nights but he sings in Lao. It is also full of people so that shows how popular it is

Sayasak Pakpasak (also called SamYaek PakPasak) is a convenient Mecca for Laos and foreigners who want to hang with locals. The second story restaurant/bar/pub overlooks the Mekong River, and arriving early (recommended) means you'll take in the atmosphere and the fun with a good view of everything the place has to offer. Basically, come to eat Lao food, drink Lao... More

Rooftop seating is best for evening. Views across the Mekong. Local band playing. Popular with locals, but some foreigners as well. Prices are very reasonable. Staff OK, although not overly friendly.

aka Samyek Pakpasack; 3yaek Parkpasuk, etc. Plenty of groups here at lunchtime in the aircon rooms downstairs. More come in the evenings for the open air deck and sunset views over the Mekong. Food is decent with good prices. Aimed at the locals - not much English spoken here. In the evening, tourists head further out along the Mekong to... More

Go here for the view from the second floor across the Mekong, great to watch the sunsets... and have a beer... But... Food was pretty average for the prices... Local bands playing and locals drinking there too which was good... If you walk about 100m further on you'll find the best looking street stalls you'll find, with great outdoor tables... More

Firstly, this restaurant will always be crowded with full of people, location is easy to find as it just located off Mekong river at the end of the night market. The food is very average and price is slightly a bit on the higher end. The view is good as you can oversee Mekong river, staff are not able to... More
