Easy to find spot near the Thai Consulate. Great spot with decent wifi and places to sit and get stuff done while you wait or relax. Excellent art and decor too!

Don't be fooled by the small interior. There is a very relaxing upstairs area along with outside seating. The owner, Xay, is extremely welcoming and friendly. Service is brisk and polite. All the food I have tried has delivered fully, there is a wide range of drinks with excellent coffee. I now live directly opposite and this will be my... More

On this particular trip to Vientiane from BKK, I wanted to hit as many of the cafes and see who can pull good quality espresso shots and try some cafe foods. Although I, personally, found every shot I tried in Vientiane too much on the bitter side (could be robusta beans, poor quality roasting, or any number of extraction errors),... More

Nomad is a lovely little cafe, convenient for those going to the Thai Immigration office around the corner as well as the local offices springing up around this area of the city. They do a good small menu of cafe classics, panini (the cheese and ham is great as they use a white sauce as well as the cheese), sandwiches... More

Good coffee and a great location if you have to do Thai visa stuff. The internet was at time painfully slow and couldn't support skype but nothing they can do. Used it daily during my week in Vientiane. First place in SE Asia where people would refill my glass of water.

Cafe Nomad has been one of our two regular local Saturday morning breakfast/coffee venues since arriving in Vientiane 18 months ago (la banneton is the other). Pros: good coffee and paninis (recently updated food menu to include other breakfast items), funky upstairs attic area, friendly staff, 2 computers available for public use. We found breakfast at Nomad to be a... More

I love coffee in nomad and panini. Especially Panini, its fantastic. You can try bulgogi panini. Its excellent. I went there 4 times a week at most with my friend. And you can use computer free wifi without extra charge. Besides, great interior decoration. There is a lovely cat.

Situated near the second pizza company, Cafe Nomad boasts an excellent range of paninis and drinks. Both meat lover and vegetarian friendly, the sandwiches are toasted to perfection and are served with a small salad. The interior decor is cosy and creative, with seating available upstairs and downstairs. This cafe gets quite busy during lunch hours but takeaway is available.... More
