Paid an extortionate amount to get a tuk tuk to Doi Ka Noi to find that it was closed until August 7 for kitchen renovations. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to it! I guess a little our fault for not calling...More

The restaurant did/is doing. It has posts on the front of its facebook page every day during renovations, as well as plenty of prior notice. DOI KA NOI IS CLOSED FOR A KITCHEN UPGRADE. WE APOLOGISE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. WE WILL REOPEN ON TUESDAY 7TH...More

The best Lao food I have ever had was here. Set in an old mansion of Indochine Modernist style, this place is trendy and very popular with locals and expats. The food is spectacularly good and original. I loved the stuffed lemongrass and the deep...More

This place proposes a short but efficient menu with several authentic traditional Lao dishes for a very reasonable price. Bonus is : homemade ice creams that will make you shiver with pleasure !

What a gem! It’s a bit outside the center, but I PROMISE you it’s worth it. The restaurant itself is such a lovely setting and the food was superb. The concept of the restaurant is slow, local food with a changing daily menu depending on...More

Description
Doi Ka Noi offers a daily changing menu of authentic Lao food for lunch, Monday - Thursday and for dinner Friday - Sunday. At Doi Ka Noi, we are proud of our rich culinary heritage. We serve authentic Lao cuisine and do not adjust recipes for those who cannot eat spicy food. However, not all Lao dishes are spicy, so please ask the waitress if you wish to know which are milder or contain no chili. All dipping sauces and stocks are homemade and we do not use MSG or stock powders in any of our food. We cannot cater for vegans as all dishes use fish sauce or pa daek, essential ingredients in Lao food.
