Went as part of a very large group. Service was very good and prompt. The food was really good tasty and fresh started with a lovely warm lentil soup simple but delicious had the lamb and chicken both very nice. Desserts was typically traditional what more could you ask for.

We dined there as part of the city tours package and we were not disappointed. We had the lentil soup (served with bread), grilled chicken and meat kebabs served with salad and rice, ending with the portion of baklava. If you are in the area try it.

I see mixed reviews here. This is one of my favorite restaurants for lunch, so I am not sure about dinner, maybe the quality goes down. I also never go here during rush time, and I am always with a local. That said, I love the selections at Tamara, and find that many of the dishes (tava, for example) are... More

A delicious meal at this restaurant was provided by Turkish Airlines as part of our city tour. This included starters, main meal, drinks and salad. Whilst some of my colleagues went for the meat kebabs, I opted for chicken and it was delicious! From the happy smiles around the table, it seems as if the rest also enjoyed theirs with... More

We were brought here by Turkish Airlines on our city tour. They provided a good meal including drinks, salad, protein, and some fruit for desert. I had the chicken kebab and thought it was delicious! After a morning of walking it was exactly what we needed to refuel for the afternoon portion of our tour.

We stumbled across this place by accident just trying to find some quick breakfast. Friendly staff, great price, so much food and variety. We sat on the rooftop terrace and it was a lovely view, would recommend,

Istanbul tours took us for lunch at this restaurant. It was a free lunch but came with salad, soup, kabab and dessert. Food is tasty and service is fast.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
