A bit more pricy than I'm used to in Turkey, but they do serve delicious meals. Really friendly staff. Great view on the Galata tower and all the people who pass by. Definitely worth a visit!

This is an unpretentious but pleasant place right across from the Galata tower, with a really excellent buffet of specialty small plates from all over Turkey

We had been recommended to come here and were pleased with the recommendation especially as we had only just arrived. The service was prompt and helpful and the food was interesting and tasty. Fantastic location right across from Galata tower and lots going on around the tower to observe over the evening. Recommended.

This was very close to where we were staying and we were told by a local that it was very good. We went on a quite night and the food and service was very good. The clientele was mostly local. Reasonably priced. The most interesting dish was for desert - whole green walnut(including shell) cooked in a heavily spiced syrup... More

We had a small lunch here, seated at the table just inside the open window. It was a very good location; close to the Galata Tower. But the food was also pretty good.

Stumbled across this place after watching sunset at Galata tower. Comfortable tables on the square watching life go by. Tried lots of local dishes the staff helped choose ... Minced meat with tomatoe flavoured cous cous was delicious as was the mixed grill . Seemed pretty authentic and the place was full of Turkish folks which was a good sign.... More

Very delicious egg and sausage plate with lemonade with mint. The sausage was very tasty. Please specify how you want the eggs cooked.

This place is a hidden gem directly across from form the Galata tower. You can sit inside or outside (outside is obviously better, weather permitting). I was seated within seconds of my arrival. Service was on point I ordered my food (hummus and falafel) and it was literally on the table within minutes. All food is homemade with the freshest... More

I had Lamb and eggplant dish that Had almost no lamb in. Small portion. Definitly a one time visit restaurant. Overpriced.

After admiring the Galata Tower, we decided to eat somewhere close. We choose this restaurant and did not regret it! The food can be chosen at the moment (a kind of buffet), where they mount your plate accordingly to what you've chosen. We decided to make a mix of different kind of dishes (vegetables, rice, different kinds of meat...), and... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
