Memorable experiences such as the one we experienced at Hocapasa Pidecisi is one of many reasons why we will keep returning to Istanbul. We were not particularly hungry after visiting the Blue Mosque but my husband and I decided to take a brief walk one more time to locate a shop for a light snack of Pide or Koftecisi. We... More

We've eaten kebabs and köftes but nothing comes close to the pides here, chef brought us a third pide for free and they offered us tea afterwards. We will come here everytime we're in Istanbul! I recommend this to everyone in Istanbul!

Probably the one of the best PIDE in the city! cooked in a historic wood oven, thin crispy base with quality ingredients, used real TEREYAG, served with tasty pickles!

Pros: inexpensive, good value, good turkish pizza, good pizza dough development, elastic, with right amount of air pores, flavorful, fresh, ideal thickness, commercial large pizza oven, can taste the flavor from authentic oven. Recommendations: eat right away while it's hot. Enjoy.

There are many places to dine around in Sirkeci. We chose this place as it was recommended on other sites. We were not disappointed. Once inside, the upstairs was not very welcoming. İt didn't have that atmosphere one urges when dining in. Despite this, service was quick and friendly. The food was great. Pide was of top quality. İf the... More

There are lots of restaurants in Hocapasa, after all that's what it's all about. Walk through the alleys and you'll be offered menus and seating at the many restaurants. Take your pick; they're all good. Even better, try them all and you'll eventually find your favorite!

Local fare done brilliantly. When in Turkey with only a few days on the itinerary it may advisable to get in as much of the city as one can. The pide made here is fresh , tantalizing to the tastebuds and very reasonably priced. Best to sit at the outside seating watching the city pass on by. Also if you... More

Love this little local area serving quick inexpensive Turkish food. Freshly made Turkish style pizza...great dough and a little spicy kick for $5 dollars. Not to mention its huge and could have fed two. I had seen enough tourist menus for a lifetime and just needed a good afternoon cheapy meal. Highly recommend especially if you are on a budget.

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
