simple and good food. Excellent value for money. The only downside was that maybe a bit too hot for my liking.

I love it, I ordered mixed lamb and chicken kebab. It was so tender, spicy and hot. I am professional when it comes to kebab, and it was one of the most unique ones I tried ever. After eating my sandwich, I couldn't bear to leave without eating another one, so I eat an extra sandwich with all the pleasure... More

Came here past midnight, around 1 am. Ordered 2 kebab wraps (that's all they had left) 1 coke zero, 1 ayran, and 2 water bottles. All came out to be 22.50 TL or just under $8. That is superbly cheap for the quality. I was extremely pleased to see that they grilled the meat fresh right in front of me.... More

I went to this restaurant with friends, following the "advice" of Mr. Anthony Bourdain. We weren't disappointed: very simple and lovely kebab, the best one I've ever tried! The place is tiny but the employers are very efficient and very kind. Definately a place to go if you are in Istanbul!

It is here that I had the best adana kebabı ever and they had spicy green pickled peppers at your discretion in a big box on each table.

I must admit I had seen this place on a TV clip from Anthony Bourdain so I put it on my list of places to go. I am very happy I did. This goes to prove that simplicity and specialisation goes a long way in taste. I tried a double wrap. I actually had two. It is simply delicious. I... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
