I've never been too tempted to eat at House Cafe, but the one in Tesvikiye/Nisantisi looked so inviting, I thought "why not?" By Nisantisi standards, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Beautiful building! The price is high and the food is average. Not terrible, but not worth the hype or the price.

I am not your typical fan of Nisantasi. So ALthough House Cafe was proper in terms of service and taste (and definitely clean food) it is not my favorite area. Due to the area, pricing is higher than normal as well.

Even in bad weather, there are always people sitting outside this popular cafe/bar situated on Tesvikye in Nisantasi. Good for people watching inside and outside, food here is good but not great. Value for money OK. But a must if you are in Nisantasi, stopping for a Turkish coffee between visiting the shops.

House cafe is a very well known restaurant-coffe shop chain, and I am a regular customer. I love it because they are chic, trendy, value for money, variety, excellent staff.. And usually the crowd is uber cool. But I have to really compliment the Manager of HOUSE CAFE CORNER Nisantasi area EMRE AKDENIZ, He is fast, polite, very very careful,... More

I have been to several House Cafes in the past so I am a big fan of it. This one at Nishantasi is probably the worst of The House Cafes that I have ever visited. Waiters are arrogant, inconsiderate to requests, the house burger tastes like a Burger King fast food. Ginger ice tea was a watery tasteless drink while... More

We've eaten here a number of times and love their salads and pasta. It's in an area where there are loads of other eateries and offers something different. Even last week when it was freezing cold the outside space was packed. Lots of younger folk out enjoying themselves and no alcohol involved.

Another great The House Cafe spot right in the heart of Tesvikiye with the usual tasty House Cafe menu and central location.

A favorite of the uber local which are parking their fancy cars in double row. For you to know the import duties in Turkey are 200% so a regular Benz of $50'000 is costing $100k+. Good food, service and terrace to be seen.

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
