This restaurant was recommend to us by a local person. We ordered lamb and chicken shish kebab which both were very delicious. The portion size was quite good so don't listen to your waiter if he encourages you to go for bigger portion unless you have a big appetite. The service was OK, the ambiance was inviting, We found it... More

Three of us dropped in for lunch around half way down the hill from Taksim square after visiting various shops along the way to the tram stop at the bottom of the hill. We were very surprised after we made our way up and up the staircases to the rooftop terrace to find that this is where the 'locals' dine.......always... More

I went there with my mate and we orderd a medium kebab because the waiter asked small, med or large. What we didn't expect that we had to pay double and I mean 80 Lira for 2 ridiculous looking sizes of kebap plates with a bit bread, what that suppose to mean. Also there was a position of 8x Service... More

We were in the Beyoglu area and randomly discovered this restaurant. We were already amazed at the entrance: the floor pattern was very nice. Coming out of the lift you are led into a room that was decorated in the 20ies style. We sat down on the rooftop which gave us an amazing view over the city: you can see... More

The views here are wonderful. As good as the Galata Tower and there is plenty of space inside and outside. It has a lift to the top and there is a small staircase for an inside glass view or outside roof terrace. They have lovely plants and decor is good. We only had coffees and shared a cafe. Both were... More

The place is EXPENSIVE for what it has to offer! The food is below average! I've had better Kebob from food trucks on campus in the US!!

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
