This little gem has so many different type of Gozleme, all worth a try. They also have Manti, salads, stuffed grape leaves, and best of all Fresh Ayran. My wife and I frequently make this a weekend lunch stop. It is very inexpensive. Don't miss...it. They have an english menuMore

I have many good points to say about this restaurant. Firstly, the kind ladies impressed us when we crossed the street who made traditional bread attracted us to visit this restaurant. The food was decent and actual the prices were more than cheap! The environment...was cozy and friendly for relaxation. I would totally recommend this shop for anyone who wants cheap and also good food in that area.More

Nice service. Good freshly made ayran. One of the best gözleme i have ever tried (one w yellow cheeses and another one w eggplant). Delicious lentil soup. Good stuffed wine leaves. Perfection at an extremely low cost! Don't miss this place!!!

We had to try the gozlemes - through the cracked glass looking into the basement, we saw not the usual one or sometimes two women rolling out the gozlemes, there were three of them, and one more lady picking up with a cricket-like bat the...cooked ones, and cutting these up to serve or for takeouts. She spoke some English and offered us the English menu. We chanced on this place while walking to Moda from Kadikoy metro station on a Sunday morning. The first time, we ordered takeouts. We could not leave the outdoor sitting area that looked into the gozleme cooking area, without first devouring what we ordered as these were so good in the cold weather. We came back to Kadikoy the next day, all the way from Sultanahmet area where our hotel was. More gozlemes, tarhana soup and also the pickles and yoghurt that came with the gozlemes. Simple but hearty and perhaps one of the things that would make the hearts yearn for Istanbul.More

I always see Bütme Evi in Kadıköy but never took the time to sit and eat. Mainly, they have bükme and sıkma. But it’s possible to get other tasty dishes. Lovely place.

Stumbled across this place trying to find vegetarian food in Kadakoy.( Not easy) They had an English menu. We had a pancakes covered in savoury yoghurt. Mixed Mezes and a free salad. Good value luchtime fare. Of interest you can watch the women at the...front rolling out the "pancake " dough at the front of the eatery.More

I wanted vegetarian food so navigated past the places with umbrellas and photo menu boards to find this, helpful staff even produced s menu in English. The ladies at the big tables roll out crepe dough then fill it with whatever you ask for. Then...you can have flavoured yogurt to top it. We also have the mixed side plate, which turned this into a feast, at £8 for 2 people with drinks. A really lovely experience.More

Since discovering this little gem 3 years ago I make sure to go back on each visit to Istanbul. They make absolutely the best stuffed vine leaves (yaprak sarma) and the Ayran is very fresh and tasty too. The owner and staff are friendly and...prices are very reasonable not only for tourists but locals too.More

Small nice restaurant locaded semiburied basement of apartment. Homemade local food menu can be served at familier ambiance. As the starter spinac soup is very tasty. "Gőzleme "with spinac- chese- mushroom and meat gives you special taste. "Ayran" can be appropriate and healty as a...soft drink. Yogurt and homemade pickles can be served as appetizers as well as free of charge tea glass. $ cost of 3 "gozleme " 2" ayran" and half porsion spinac soup 12€ (40 tl)More

In a neighborhood full of touristic restaurants and cafes, this one stands out. Prices are excellent. The chorba soup was cheaper and way better tasting than any of the other places I tried. The Turk Khavesi was only 4 TL when it was 5-10 everywhere...else in Kadikoy. And the size of the cup was bigger and served with a cup of water. You can watch the two ladies make your Butmeler while you are seated. Really cool place. Didn't see anything else like it in all my time in Istanbul.More

I went to this restaurant thrice in 3 days. It is a small family-run local restaurant, serving traditional local Turkish cuisine. The prices are good, the food tastes good, it is hygienic and just amazing. They have a wide variety too. Lots of options for...vegetarians. Small restaurants like these are ignored by tourists, as everyone flocks to the ones they have read about and heard about. This is authentic local cuisine at its best and they dont over-charge like the other 'touristy' restaurants in the area. I would recommend this restaurant 100%. Must must try if you are in Kadiköy. Don't miss it. I recommend trying the following dishes:- Gözleme (turkish quesadilla/paratha), so many different kinds!!! Make your own combination or go for the ones they have on their menu. We ordered a potato and onion Gözleme, Cheese and spinach gözleme, minced meat, cheese &mushroom Gözleme. We also tried the Sade Katmerler, which is a gözleme but without any stuffing. All of which tasted excellent!! It is lovely to see the ladies making them with all the love in front of your eyes. Definitely worth it. They also serve fresh Ayran (turkish yogurt drink), which is excellent. But do ask, as they may have run out, which is when they serve the pre-packaged Ayran. The manti was also nice, but we didn't have the taste developed for it, so we didn't enjoy it as much, but it was still very tasty. We also ordered the stuffed vine leaves and the Bulgur salad. both of which were good too. The Gözleme, however, is unbeatable! They also serve free yogurt and salad with every order, which is great! They have a wide variety. So it is really the best place to get a taste of the local cuisine. The daughter understands English quite well, so there is no language trouble. I cant recommend this restaurant enough. Must must try for everyone.More
