There is a heated dispute raging in Israel: Where can you experience the Holly Grail of a Hummus (chickpeas paste) dish. One of the worthy contenders is Lina Restaurant. It's located in one of the small streets in East Jerusalem and is not easy to find. But is you do (and eventually you will), you will have a very good... More

We should really eat at Lina more often. It's such an authentic little place and the Hummus is one of the best I've had in Israel. Great value for money and tasty, fresh food but sometimes there can be a bit of a queue until a table becomes available, it's just so good.

For many, this place is almost a traditional touristic site of Jerusalem. Here you can have a taste of traditional Palestinian food, hummus, falafel, taheene, and many more. You cannot arrive to the old city without giving Lina Restaurant a try. Once you've eaten here, you can say you actually ate like the locals.

In the heart of Jerusalem's old city which serves the best hummus in the area. Every thing is fresh and really tasty. The pomegranate juice is fantastic. All in all, very good cheap food.

I loved the pine nut hummus, falafels and tabbouleh salad (with a sprinkle of fresh pomegranate seeds)...the pita bread was dried out and seemed as if it was a day old...strange for a popular hummus spot. The hummus comes with a small plate of fresh white onions/tomatoes/pickles and a spicy green pepper. I realize that all sorts of things happen... More

Came with friends with high expectations as we heard a lot about Lina. Ordered Hummus, Labane and Falafels. The falafels were cold and the labane felt industrial. The hummus was fine, nothing out of the ordinary.

We stopped for lunch a Lina's after I read online an article about this place. Food was excellent, we ordered, hummus, labneh, the typical israeli salad, an aubergine smash , and a couple more things, everything was fresh, service was excellent, and the price amazing. Great value for money! The restaurant was clean and also the toilets. Perfect stop in... More
