You can easily walk right by this restaurant which is up an alley with a modest sign you could easily miss, then down a staircase into the basement of an old building needing many repairs. The mezze is unbelievable. Not a square inch left on the table when fully loaded with a WIDE variety of salads, hummus, baba genush, etc.,... More

We ate here on the sabbath on a Friday. The place was literally dead at 9pm. I think this put a negative edge on the evening. Food was good however. You'll never find it from the outside. It's tucked away down a narrow alley. You wonder if you should turn back before reaching the entrance. But don't if you are... More

Two couples showed up at 12:30 on Saturday Afternoon for lunch. They weren't expecting anyone before 2PM despite what is says on the website. He graciously asked us to sit and in 10 minutes took our order. We then received 9 salads and fresh Pita. Tremendous. We ordered three different dishes, and I can honestly say the Roast Lamb may... Visited with four companions on 12th April. Appetisers tasty, lamb kebab very good (also the mixed grill which I had had a couple of weeks before, which was excellent). Good sized portions. Attentive service in pleasant surroundings. I'll be back - insh'allah. Many thanks

It was 10 o'clock on a Friday night when most restaurants had already closed. The Philadelphia restaurant was open and the owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The restaurant is below ground. We enjoyed it.

Delicious appetizers, toasted pita surrounded by plates of the traditional salads and toppings, followed by chicken, meat, and zucchini kebabs en pointe. Great flavor, great presentation, quiet atmosphere perfect for good conversation with friends.

This is a well-respected restaurant in East-Jerusalem, tucked away in the Arab neighbourhood just outside Damascus Gate - a neighbourhood which visiting itself can be a relief after a day among the crowds in the Old City. I had a late lunch here, and a chat with the owner. Humus and other local food was fine and heartening (stay away... More

You can't have Western, Oriental and Italian food under one roof, because none of them would be good. The smell of fat is everywhere - not only food. The taste of lamb cheese was killed by the old fat. Vegetable soup was based on boullion cube and lamb was very fat.
