Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine, but the food wasnt really up to the same level. It was pricey too. This place is named after one of the decendents of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, who invented the modern Hebrew language. Mona was also the grandmother of the famous writer/chef Gil Chovav. Cool history.

Mona was recommended to us by a work colleague in London. After a long day of walking around in the cold and rain, we arrived early - before they had setup and they sat us down right away. The staff were so nice, knowledgable, recommended items, changed items on the menu etc. We sat in front of the fireplace, it... More

Beautiful quiet restaurant. The food was delicious and came out really fast, and the wait staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, especially our waitress Bar.

Nothing bad to say, the food was spectacular! One of the best restaurants in Israel (beats Herbert Samuel in Tel Aviv as an example), delicate tasty with attention to details. The small polenta appetiser is phenomenal. Only part that could improved, the service, while professional is not warm and friendly enough - you don't feel welcome. But we will come... More

Expensive but worth trying. A mix of french Italian and local cuisine. Personnel very kind. Nice atmosphere. Excellent choice in food. Not so much with wines but what they have is at a good standard. I was pleased by everything.

Had a great evening at the Mona. The Bar tender was very professional and noticed the small details. The Hanger Steak was delicious and the Chestnut cream dessert was very special.

Our taxi driver recommended this restaurant and we didnt really know what to expect. It didn't feel especially Israeli, and we felt we could have been dining in a restaurant like this in many other cities around the world. But what a lovely surprise. The food was delicious. The flavours of each dish and the combinations of ingredients used were... More

We had dinner for 4. Starters were great. We had crab bisk and tartar. The main course we're just ok the beef was very dry on the outside not the quality I expected. The fish was tasteless. The waiters were nice and so was the atmosphere but we had expected more.

This was by far our favorite restaurant in a 4-day Jerusalem trip. Friendly, warm service. Amazing fresh interpretations of local dishes. We sat at the bar facing the kitchen, and had to exercise the utmost of restraint in not ordering everything on the menu, as everything, literally everything, coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. We had the roasted crab... More
