This is a nice restaurant with good views (hence the name) in the heart of Old Jerusalem and very near to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. It is clearly popular at lunchtimes with groups serving a good buffet lunch in nice surroundings. Not materially...different from other similar type restaurants but food was hot and plentiful. The views of the city below are a bonus.More

Recently visited Jerusalem and enjoyed an early dinner here. Since our group was large, we were given the choice of veggie falafel or chicken shawarma... for me, the latter was the obvious choice. Delicious and a great hot sauce option provided! Don't miss the hot...sauce. Great views of Jerusalem!More

I do not recommend this place to anyone, because: 1) Quality. The shawarma was so dry, that we couldn't eat it. It had a small amount of salad in the beginning after which there was only very dry chicken. 2) Customer service was unprofessional, they...were not interested in hearing any criticism, the man by the counter refused to listen to us and raised his voice when we tried to give feedback. 3) Cheating. They told us the price would be 15, not knowing they were talking about dollars. In Israel, we automatically assumed the price would be given in ILS/shekels but when we got to the counter, disappointed about the food. We were comforting ourselves with that at least the price was not very high but, what we thought was 15 ILS was now 50 ILS. Back story: We entered this place as part of a guided tour. The tour guide took us there. We were quite hungry after a lot of activities and were ready for lunch. We were a bit disappointed to hear that the options were only two, chicken shawarma and falafel, on the other hand, we have had shawarma before and found it very tasty. They told us the price is 15, so we took it. What they brought us was not the shawarma we've had before, it was a dry pita reminding bread with a lot of extremely dry chicken, and just a little bit of salad in the front. The chicken was so dry it could not be swollowed. We ate about half of it and tossed the rest. Well now I understand why it's not so expensive, we concluded. We agreed not to make a big fuzz about the quality, but to just give them a heads up that maybe they could do something about it for future guests. No, we tried discreetly telling the man about it but he heightened his voice, making a big show about it and asked us to pay 100 ILS (50 each) while we thought the price was 30 ILS (15 each). Well, we paid, we left with the group but we were not very happy.More

The food and service was good but the view was great. We went there as part of a tour group and I am glad we went. If you are going to grab a quick bite for lunch, do it with a great view.

We had lunch in this centric location as part of our half day tour in Jerusalem. Its the typical big group tourist dinning spot. It has great views of the old city. Food option was shwarma and falafel. The Shwarma was tasty, food snd drinks...were not included and had to be paid. Service was fast. This location is close the the church of the sepulcher.More

On a previous trip to Jerusalem, some of our friends went to this restaurant and raved over the views so much I felt like I’d missed a little gem. Soooo...my recent trip, I remembered this restaurant was near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and...searched it out for lunch on my visit inside the Old City. It wasn’t terribly difficult to find the entrance to a wonderfully enchanting view! You must ask for the top floor, which serves the a la’ carte menu (as opposed to the buffet), to be seated in this part of the restaurant. The top floor is surrounded by windows and has a railed balcony. The panoramic view boasts sightings of many important icons in the city from a beautiful, unique perspective: Mt. of Olives, Dome of the Rock, Church of the Holy Sepulcher just to mention a few. The balcony overlooks a little courtyard and red tiles roofs so it almost feels like you’re in an Italian piazza. The view is worth the ‘fast food’ version of a lunch of the typical shawarma or falafel. It wasn’t the best representation of the popular Mediterranean food fare, but, the view was worth it! The service was very friendly, as well, so while I would give the food 2 or 3 stars, the views and service get 5+. Worth the stop!!!!More

We ate here as part of a tour group. The shawarma was very good and was served promptly for about $12. Buffet and falafel choices were also available.

Enjoy views of Jerusalem in all directions, take photos and treat yourself to a lamb shawarma. They also have cool drinks and bathrooms. They also have falafel. Go here for the view and a break on your exploration more than for the food - it’s...good but limited options.More

Yes we were on a tour and yes this was a pre arranged lunch stop but we actually enjoyed it. You are given the choice of chicken shawarma or falafel plus a soft drink - for our party of four this came to 170 Israeli...pounds although they do prefer US dollars if you have them (approx. £38). The food was very tasty and the choice of drinks good. The best bit however is in the name panoramic. We got our best photos of Jerusalem from the rooftop terrace.More

We were on a tour and the tour company selects this location because it accommodates large groups. There are only 2 food options - shawarma and falafel we each had one and they were both just meh. The views from the top are good but...the food is not worth the price. They know the tourists don't have a choice since they are on a tour. Several folks on the tour opted out.More

This place was selected for us, from the tour we took(guides eat better food). We passed up many nice looking food places, to come to this place. It does have one redeeming quality, the view from the top. ALSO, They don’t sell alcohol and the...only thing redeeming, is the view. If you want food, go elsewhere. If you want a view, come to Panoramic.More

The shawarma was ok. To be honest there must be better options, though we weren’t given a choice with the tour group. Also no alcohol. Would not recommend.

Stopped here for a quick lunch with the rest of a tour group. Service was good and the food was okay. Average pricing. Convenient location for a stop, but would probably have eaten somewhere else if I had more time.
