If we have a craving for hummus then we always go to Acrmavi. We take the mesabaha, it's hummus with chick-peas, lemon and olive oil and it is just perfect. The only thing you need to now is that he closes at arround noon. If you are in Jerusalem and you like hummus then it's a place to come.

LOCATION: THERE IS NO SIGN SAYING "HUMMUS ACRMAVI" at least not in English. Do not trust Google Maps cause that fool sent us all the way down the street! SO! How do you find it? Right across the street from Damascus Gate on Ha-Navieem, between the phone shop and Al-Ayed Restaurant. This is a cheap eats spot that has falafel... More

A little, simple place near Damascus Gate with excellent hummus and with very good falafel. One plate with pitas and pickles for 22 shekels.

This over 50 years place serves one of the best hummus In Israel, the hummus is so good you can feel the lemon in it, the falafel is not bad too but the Damascus gate falafel is better. Go here to taste real hummus.

I stopped by just to eat some Falafel. They taste good and are very reasonably priced. You ask them to give you Falafel for 5 Shekel ( 1,30 US-Dollars ) and you get a plare or a bag with about a dozen pieces. A really good deal for those who are hungry but have little money to spend. To find... More

We go to this place every week from work. It is one of the better hummous places in the city. Conveniently located near Damascus gate one can stroll here or take the Light Rail. The owner speaks English and the hummous is simple, either with beans or hummous. It comes with two pitas and green hot peppers and falafel, onion... More

I come here on a weekly basis with my friends, and enjoy it immensely. The humus is creamy, the service is great, the owner amicable, and the location - in front of Damascus gate - gives you a taste of the orient.
