If you're looking for a nice place to eat just off the busy street, then climb the stairs at the back of the building and they will lead you to a shaded terrace and 2 closed dining areas. You will be surrounded by books in this friendly and relaxed cafe. There is a choice of starters, salads and fish. Their... More

We wanted an authentic Israeli restaurant and stumbled upon this cafe on trip advisor. The food was great, including labane cheese and a yummy lentil bulgar dish. Our only issue was that we asked for the check three times before they brought it (maybe since we are American that bothers us more than it would others). Otherwise, great food.

A very good meal. Soups were delicious. I had the Mistress Salad, my wife had the sea breem. All great. We will be back!

Luckily we stayed so close to this magical place. The food is great here and the service is excellent too. My recommendations are to try the Koshari (rice and lentils) and Danny the Red (Beetroot gnocchi) for some flavourable dishes. If you like Shakshuka (baked eggs) they do those too but they aren't as delectable as the aforementioned dishes. Don't... More

It really is worth searching for this out of the way cafe. Google helped us to find it! The food was lovely and so were the staff.

This is an adorable little restaurant, in a very old building in Jerusalem. It also houses a library - so you are surrounded by books. The menus, within well known authors' book covers, are filled with original names for various dishes and a wide variety of foods to chose from. I ordered a salad and my partner, a shakshuka. We... Went there frequently during my stay in Jerusalem. Highly recommendable for lovers of vegetarian food. The Shakshouka there is maybe the best in town. A young, motivated team, always very friendly. When u visit Jerusalem u shouldn't miss to visit this place.

Great modern twists on classical Israeli dishes - the frozen cider drink is especially to be recommended. Friendly, helpful staff. Food is freshly prepared. Cannot recommend highly enough.
