Everything was bad except for the nice waiter who tried his best This is the ONLY fish restaurant in Israel that does not give mezze ( small dishes if assorted salads) with your fish. You have to pay extra for each salad, they give you a basket of pita, instead of assorted rolls, which usually you get at a hummus... More

wife and I had a very romantic dinner on Jan 2 . great spread of salads ( about 10 small dishes ) - main fish was good and the kosher wine bottle was excellent . the area after 10 feels a little wired - but it is very safe . I highly recommend .

We had tried to get into the Old man and the Sea on a Saturday night but could not get in. We got one of the last tables in this restaurant. There was good atmosphere - a violinist playing classical tunes. We all had fish which was excellent. It was a bit pricey for simple fish but Israel seems to... More

We didn't wait long for service and when the dishes arrived we were well satisfied. The ingredients were fresh, the cooking simple but tasty, and the portions large. The prices were OK (by Israeli standards).

All in all it was not a nice experience. The location is nice but is the only positive point. The seafood is not good and the recipes are very basic. On top of this the bill was extremely high. I discourage to go to this restaurant.

I didn't even finish my dish and I'm already writing this review. This place is horrible!!!! The waiter is very unpleasant and overall service is bad. The dishes are extremely over priced.

Great service: we were a large group, and Vadim was so kind to arrange tables to accommodate us ; nice and simple food ; situation close to Jaffa port makes this a great place to dine out

Good family run restaurant which needs to sort out a few rough edges. The food was well above expectation - salmon carpaccio was top notch, sautéed mushrooms again excellent, salads and dips were of a very good standard, Fish was cooked to perfection and portions were all generous. The polishing is needed on the service side - while family members... More

We were very happy to find the only kosher restaurant in the Jaffa port (although there are a couple within a kilometer of the port). Don't confuse this restaurant with The Fisherman's Restaurant a block away which is not kosher. The restaurant and bar was very clean with with white linen tablecloths on the tables. The selection of salads and... More

Great sitting outside, although for bigger groups at dinner you need a reservation and it may be easier to sit inside. Very good service, fantastic fresh local seafood, good if a bit basic wine list, very relaxed atmosphere. This was a second visit (first one 2 years ago), glad to say the place is consistent.

Thank Dmitri A
