I've been to a lot of places and I ate a lot of different Hummus, in Israel and in other Middle Eastern Countries and I tell you this is my favorite hummus of all time!
There are so many options and you can get all...the plates vegan too!! And with very creative combinations which taste like heaven.
More than recommend, do yourself a favor and go there, you'll not regret it that's for sure.More
My thoughts may be briefly summed as follows: "Yum!" There's a wait, sure. And it'd be easy to decide to try another spot. But I'd submit that a nosh here is worth 30-45 minutes loitering around in the street. The vibe is very casual, which...makes it perfect as a stop before, during, or after exploring the market. Highly recommended.More
I’ve been eating at shlomo and doron for years. Each time I come to Tel Aviv (once a year) I head straight to the restaurant for breakfast. This year I realized that all good things come to an end. I ordered shakshuka. The eggs were...buried deep in the hummous and were rock hard. The hummous itself was heavy, pasty and pretty tasteless. The raw onion quarters that accompany the meal seemed like they’d been cut the day or two before. Dried looking, with not much onion taste. Finally, the service was indifferent to say the least. Almost no eye contact. Had to ask a few times for a knife. Husband was half way through his meal before mine came. And we were not asked if we needed anything more, or how our meals were. Truth is, there are far better hummous and shakshuka places in the yemenite quarter. I will not be back.More
