Sadly Shaul Evron has died last year (2012) and "Yoezer Bar Yain" has closed its doors on 20th of march 2013, after nearly 20 years.

Yes, the place is a bit pricey, but the food was really excellent, and the wine was very fairly priced, all things considered. The building is beautiful and the atmosphere wasn't 'heavy'.

Went with a group of people and we all loved it. Nice wine selection near historic Jaffa. Definitely worth a try.

There is something about the place that just does not click for me. The food while well prepared is too pricey for what you get. The "bohemian" atmosphere does not do it for me.
