This was a lovely restaurant for dinner. The interior of the building was amazingly beautiful. All the staff were so attentive and the service was outstanding.

we had a wonderful evening, delicious food and very kind and helpful staff. The evening was spoilt when we went to get a taxi outside tge restaurant and were asked 10 dinar for a journey that always has cost a maximum of 4 dinar. We...returned to the restaurant in order to ask them to order a taxi as is normal. There was a gentleman? inside the door at a screen wearing a blue shirt. We asked him could he call a taxi. He pointed tgat thet were outside, stood up and walked in front of me and disappeared In my 81 years I have never experienced such rudeness in a restaurant. Such a shame as it is a great a great place. I was tempted to give one star but that would not have been fair to the wonderful staff.More

Beautiful restaurant with stunning food. A must if you are in Amman. We had a lovely lentil soup to start with, lovely bread and a lamb casserole and I had chicken and aubergine casserole which was unreal. They serve alcohol.

This is a memorable experience worth planning for while visiting Amman. Sufra offers a chance to enjoy a meal in an old world style traditional villa. Each soup, appetizer, and entree reflect a culinary heritage rich with the flavor and freshness of Middle Eastern Cuisine....The staff is exceptional. We enjoyed every moment of our visit with friends around the table at Sufra!More

What a beautiful atmosphere and pleasant experience at Sufra restaurant. You need to spend few minutes at the beginning exploring the place an appreciating all the antiques displayed there. Then the smell of bread starts calling you.The team were very welcoming and the food was...exceptional. I had to take the bread with me home.More

This is the place to experience great authentic Jordanian fare. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was authentic while reasonably priced. We tried Mansaf, the national dish of Jordan, and were served complimentary Arabic coffee after the meal.

One of the best restaurants in Amman. Nice ambience, great food (fantastic falafel), good value for money. Even the Chardonnay was fine.

Fabulous location on Rainbow Street (combine some souvenir shopping with some nice local Arabic food for lunch or dinner), beautiful restaurant (converted old house), nice seating in the garden, beautiful floor tiles, lovely ambience. But I feel now that it's become so popular it's become...too busy, too crowded, many large crowds, and the quality of the food and service have suffered.More

I scoped this place through Lonely Planet, and came for my last dinner in the country as I wanted a nice, upscale meal. The restaurant’s ambience is lovely, right off Rainbow St, you’re taken to a courtyard lined with gardening, and the patio’s dim lighting...and open air makes for great conversation. I ordered the Muttabal (similar to Baba Ganoush), and Jordan’s National dish, Mensaf (Lamb on rice with pine nuts and goat’s milk yogurt sauce). The Muttabal was fresh, a little too acidic but still tasty with warm Khobz (Arabic bread) to mop it up. Then, the Mensaf was pretty good. The lamb was cooked to perfection, pine nuts provide a toasty balance and the rice was just there as a carb more than anything to me. The yogurt sauce was tangy and covered everything nicely. A great spot for a nice, sit-down dinner, with helpful service and a menu with many local options.More

This is an absolutely beautiful venue on the trendy Rainbow Street. Gorgeous villa with a spectacular garden, where we ate. Lovely food, with a really big range of local cuisine. Portions are large, especially the mezze. You can book, but only a week in advance.

What a charming restaurant in the heart of Rainbow Street, in the old part of Amman! This place has a history - find out when you go. The layout and décor of the place, both indoor and outdoor spaces, have a cozy, retro, yet chic...vibe. But it's the food and the service that are truly outstanding. Middle-eastern specialities, from Jordan and beyond, will delight any palate. We loved the mezzes, the use of local ingredients, the perfect spices, the pickles, the grilled meats and the sweets. I wish I could make this a habit, but sadly, we live too far away.More
