Service is the one to highlight here. There were 3 occupied tables for lunch and service was appalling. After several minutes waiting for food, they said they wouldn't be able to service the dish as it wasn't cooked properly. They took me to the kitchen...to show the situation. The chef was the young boy, also waiter, with dirty hands, who did everything there. While the older man was just moaning. This was a surreal experience and after 40 minutes there we left without eating or drinking anything. Is this really a restaurant? AVOID!More

Great lunch and cheap eating. We ordered Maqluba and it was the best dish ever we tried. It was really a homecook feel dish by the owner. Price was really affordable and cheap. The staffs were very friendly and helpful although you might find some...language barrier but not a big deal. Highly recommended.More

It is terrible. It's very expensive. The meat is green and old. And we have to wait for 2 hours. And the building is so cold.

The location is quite nice with a balcony towards the Mandaba map church. The waiters were friendly but not really prepared to interact with international tourists (language skills). The food displaed near the entry on the street was not in the menue nor did it...look like the picture displayed. The lamb as part of that meal was reduced to 3 pieces on a lot of rice. The quality was pretty good but we wouln't revisit this place.More

hands off ! They serve good and cold dutch Amstel beer, the waiter is very friendly, but: the lamb with mushrooms is served without mushrooms, and made of very stiff beef (they admitted later, it was beef); the waldorf salad is made without celery and...apples. They excused for it, but I think they know, that they are cheating the tourists. Compared to the quality offered, the prices are much too high, except for the beer.More

A no frills restaurant that won't burn a hole in your pocket. The fattoush and the makloubeh were delicious and needless to say,the portions were enormous too.An added bonus was the sahlab - a sweet milky drink I wasn't expecting to see on the menu as...it's normally only available in the winter ( according to my guide book ) but which topped off the whole meal in satisfactory fashion.Highly efficient and courteous staff too.More

We were hot and thirsty and ready to relax. We needed a lunch location with AC. Their AC was turned on but functioned so poorly that we sat and sweltered. We ordered 2 (non-alcoholic) beverages and our meals. After 15 minutes, NOTHING! When we went...to find them in the kitchen to ask where our drinks were, they said that they were sorry but ice tea was out of stock. Really?! 15 minutes with no service and no notice that they were out? We said we were dying of thirst. We revised our order and asked for drinks right away. Another 5-7 minutes went by. We were very unhappy campers. The food was good, but the drinks, service, and AC were a disaster.More
