Semsom was a pleasant surprise for me, when I visited Beirut last summer. It's traditional Lebanese food, without the excessive meza, which can take 2-3 hours to get through the meal. At Semsom, you get all the food they would offer at a meza, but...More

Lebanese cuisine with a modern hint. I love this place but some of its plates are strange, especially when you mix fetta with tabbouli which some would interpret this as tasty. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good.

Semsom is not bad as a restaurant. However, adding "exotic ideas" to the food might sometime ruin the real taste. We went a couple of times

A nice place to visit but not a great one for service and food. Tiny portions and regular taste.. Trying to do a twist but didn't turn out to be Avery successful one...

Good value for money. Tried it in City Center. Try the pink hommos for a change. The 3osmallieh breading is a cool twist as well. Very decent main courses. Delivery is also available.

the portions here are very generous for starters, and the food is tasty. the oven baked chicken shawarma is a must and they now offer cheese rolls made of sh3iriyeh (spaghetti-like-looking noodles) which are devilishly tasty. the service here isn't consistent though but usually manageable.More

Not bad as a concept, ... what can you create differently in country that ought to substitute the Hommos plate for the cedar on its flag?? Ok, so you want to try Lebanese mezze without the aftermath symptoms? Semson is for you then. A bit...More

Dear Zeeyou, Thank you for your review :) We are definitely combining the traditional and the modern style of Lebanese cuisine. Some items are coming from Lebanese villages (like the mama ghannouge and the tabbouleh lentils) and some are created by our chefs (different hommos,...More
