Jean-Paul organized cooking lessons for several weeks followed by a meal of what we learned at La Borgogne. The food was excellent, the service was good and exceptionally good value for money. A must visit to world class French Cuisine
Predatory almost fraudulent except experience/ pricing for NYE dinner! We went for a New Years Eves dinner- Jean Paul is apparently the manager of the establishment, however he refused to come to our table- to address the issue. What kind of a manager will not...personally address issues of this magnitudes ? An ad was placed by the restaurant that highlights a $200 menú, upon checkout the restaurant informed me that it was a 2003 ad and that the 2020 price was instead $350. Why would one run a 2003 ad in 2020, if not to confuse and overcharge their customers? This is supposed to be one of the top restaurants in Punta- and this is the services that one can expect?! Very very disappointing. The food and service was ok but not for $ 350pp. Another example of the year 2020. Will definitely NOT recommend or return to this establishment. .More
Food was great and almost like best French cuisine, I suggest the traditional menu. But staff shown a lack training and expertise... for instance an attendant threw the dessert on my wife's lap... can be happen... but you can't forget replace paper towels in the...toilet, indeed paper towels are a shame, they should be of fabrics!More
The best dinner in a long time! Each dish is served to perfection, original flavours combined with traditional ones, makes you realize that very few restaurants treat ingredients with such care so that they bring out their best in aromas, flavours and textures. Congratulations to...the chef!!
It is pricy, but well worth it.More
We went for lunch, and there was only one other table with a couple. It was january the first, so I don't know if that comes into play.
The place is nice, but outside is filled with bugs.
The drinks service is impressive. Even the...lemonade was amazing.
The food was good. Not my best French experience, but really no complaints. I ordered the tasting menu ans was pleased with my choice. Compared to the rest of the menu and it's pricing, it might even be a good deal. About 140 usd per person. We did not order many drinks or wine.More
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I came here for my birthday and can't recall a more magical night. I've been to around 40 countries and can't wait to go back to Uruguay JUST so I can go here. I absolutely...loved sitting in the beautiful garden with the subtle twinkling lights, live music and amazing service. Each bite was to die for, and sent chills down my spine.More
Beware of this place. We should have left as soon as we saw the menu. They have prices written in pencil which I believe they take it up and down as they please. Ok I appreciate the food but we probably paid 3 or 4...times what you would pay in a best french restaurant in NY. Totally not worth the value you get for the price you pay.More
