Been to this restaurant couple of times due to very good location along the water front. Cooking is decent and nothing to complain about ( actually it is quite good! ). The main problem is indifferent service and service staff refuse to give recommendation: just say everything is good.....

A good thing about this place is that two people can eat their fill for just 7000 New Caledonian francs. Another good thing is that the food is ready very quickly. Yet another good thing is the location, right on the promenade at the Plage de l’Anse Vata in the capital Nouméa. With one soup each, a shared portion of... More

Staff were very pleasant but, in retrospect, the eye watering prices did not not match the quality or quantity of the food. My wife and I both had bowls of soup which were an astonishing 900 XPF each and quite ordinary. I ordered duck and sautéed vegetables which were acceptable but small portioned and salty. Jasmine tea was good!!! Toilets... More

I have had hundreds of Chinese meals in my time .... This probably ranks in the bottom three. If you do go there just have steamed rice or perhaps the starters. Avoid the mains. The waitress was very pleasant though. I would echo the comments of another reviewer ... Go to the Stone Grill. That is a very good restaurant.

My husband and I were apprehensive about trying this restaurant and had our fears confirmed upon attempting to try this establishment. We arrived at 9.04pm and despite a HUGE sign on the front door stating that the restaurant was open until 10 am, upon walking in to the restaurant a very rude woman walked up to us and barked the... We have been here for tea 3 times this week and will probably go again before we leave. Highly the recommend the fried honey chicken entree- it is the best! 10/10. Everything in Noumea is expensive and May Flowers is no different but don't mind paying for quality food. The young waitress was very accommodating and everything about this establishment... More

Arrived at. 926 pm on Wednesday, she refused to serve us. Said it was closed , I said the sign says 10 pm. She just hook her head. Rude and very obvious they depend on tourists and those who don't know real chinese food

We've been to Nouméa on holidays fortunately we had a nice stay hats off to all Caledonian people EXCEPT THE OLD ASIAN LADY WHO IS THE OWNER OF MAY FLOWER RESTAURANT who possesses the dark and demon side and spoils our enjoyment. She is the most ill mannered, arrogant and cheap person in Nouméa. She gives you the impression of:... More

This Chinese restaurant is located on Palm Beach Noumea and is nicely fitted out inside. The menu is quite typical of any westernised Chinese restaurant. Food arrives very fast and you get the feeling that most dishes are based on sauces out of a bottle plus a fast food stir fry. However, the food is quite tasty. However, portions are... More
