Like all of Noumea, overpriced for what it is. The wine list is excellent but the food was a bit heavy. My wife has a gluten allergy and they were not helpful. (She is French so this was not a language issue.) The waitress came back to the table and asked if she could eat cream. I worry about an... More

Good food and service in a nice atmosphere across from the bay. Varied menu with something for everyone. Large wine selection. The special order apple tart is a MUST! Walk along the bay after dinner.

If you want something special, this should be your restaurant. The food, service, and ambience are the best in Noumea. I had the escargot ravioli and the Joue de Saumon. Both were superb. The staff is friendly and relaxed. Don't miss it if you love great food.

We had promised ourselves a return visit, and were nervous it could not be so good. But we were delighted - excellent, knowledgeable service but not intrusive. Everything on the menu (available in both French and English) was enticing but we settled for sashimi and smoked duck/cheese ravioli for entree, followed by "Lamb in Pastilla" and "Crispy Pork with Thai... The service, like most of Noumea was very friendly however the food was only OK... There was nothing in particular to complain about, it's just we could have gone to any mid range restaurant and received the same level of food quality, yet Marmite is touting itself as high end and the prices reflect this, whereas the food is really... We had a great meal at this restaurant. There was a really good wine list and our waiter helped us choose an excellent red even though it was less expensive than the one we were considering. The food was very good and reasonably priced for Noumea (eating out is really expensive in Noumea compared with NZ)

We were greeted by a very charming and proficient waiter who speaks excellent English. The food was delicious and the waiter described the dishes perfectly. I can recommend the Gratin of Crab entree as my highlight. They also have a very good wine list reasonable priced for Noumea. The restaurant was full from around 8 pm and they also used some... More

Came for dinner, party of 8; some good, some average dishes. Pros: very friendly waiting staff, young man who speaks very good English and a woman who had some English. English menu. Fixed prices: for either 2 or 3 courses. Prices are reasonable (2 courses for 3,500F), Choice of 5 plates in each course. Huge wine list, wines from each... More

We had read good reviews of this restaurant and were expecting amazing things. When we arrived we were shown menus and left for half an hour before the waitress came back to take our menus. The meals took a long time to come out also. The wait-staff were working hard, but the restaurant seemed to be quite understaffed. I had... More
