We went with a friend for lunch. The food was good, the service friendly and the ambience excellent. A welcome air-conditioned oasis after the crowded streets of Honiara. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch.

Fantastic coffee and great cafe food as good as anywhere back in Australia. If you are in the area a great place to just chill out. Friendly helpful staff and fair pricing. Would definitely go back.

Breakwater Cafe is a real gem, hidden away on the main road of Honiara. Coffee, smoothies and cooked breakfasts are all lovely. They also have a range of delicious cakes and pastries at the counter. Highly recommend the house made muesli for breakfast.

Struggling in the heat? This place was a godsend. The air con is phenomenal and makes for a very comfortable meal which can be hard to find in Honiara. Immaculate set-up, feels like a trendy cafe. They do good loaves of bread on weekends and sometimes Wednesday but they sell quickly. Went here way too much and loved it. The... More

The Breakwater Cafe is centrally located but about 50 meters off the main road and in the ground floor of an apartment building. There is a sign on the main road, however, so if you are going east on the main road, you will see the sign just after Commonwealth Road on the right. Very clean and pleasant. Excellent coffee... Enjoyed my fruit salad with coconut jelly and a coconut in air conditioned comfort, although there are also tables outside which catch the sea-breeze. Lovely assortment of breads, sandwiches and sweets. Great seats, attentive staff and a fantastic view. It closes 4pm most days, so you need to get in quick.

This place was a little bit of home.Like your favorite coffee shop.Nice cakes, sandwiches, rolls ,all your favorites at very reasonable prices in comparison to local restaurant prices.Hot cofee, iced drinks.Nice views and well liked by the business community if the number of people that rocked up for lunch was any indication.A very nice touch in Honiara.
