Agnes is a French restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake Kandowgyi and Shwedagon pagoda. The food is delicious and very nice and the staff is very kind. I have been there several times and it has never let me down! I highly recommend it!

Thd new name is Rachel restaurant, still at the Kandawgyi hotel. The place is very nice, by the lake. The chef is always available to give you information and the buffet is excellent. Foie gras, salmon, sushi... and a very good choice of cheese and desserts. If you did not try yet book your next Sunday brunch.

We went for the Sunday Brunch here yesterday. This has to be one of the best brunches in town. Make sure you get a seat on the terrace outside (there is a roof so you're protected from the rain) as you'll get the most stunning views of Kandawgyi Lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda. With regard to food, the selection at... More

Wanted to try French. Ended up trying their BBQ buffet (King Prawns, Beef Tenderloin, Lamb chop, Pork chop). All tasted great especially the Pork chop which was done just perfectly on the outdoor BBQ grill. Starters were tasty (smoked salmon, foie gras terrine, salad). Desserts looked and tasted yummy. Was a party of 4 and had a bottle of white... More

Located in Kandawgyi palace hotel , Kandawgyi lake, it has great view of lake with nice patio. Helpful staff with good food but a bit overprice. If you are tired with crowded restaurants, you will definitely like this place. Toilets are super clean filled with lemongrass fragrance :)

Before definitely leaving for two weeks of Burmese culture, we had a superb dinner at French restaurant Agnes. It is beautifully located at the Kandawgyi lake in the middle of a park and it has a very nice patio. The food is excellent and highly recommendable, though prices are above Myanmar average.

I don't understand all the positive reviews? This was one of the worse meals I have ever had. The duck was chewy and had a bad taste to it. The wait staff was good and we didn't have the heart to send the food back, something I would have done at home. The chef is from France so no excuses.

Been to Yangon a couple times and visited this restaurant on both occasion. I must say this restaurant is very underrated and should be ranked much higher on trip advisor. As a foodie myself I find the cuisine top notch and utterly brilliant! Romantic setting best for dates too

Being from Europe it was hard to satisfy my taste buds in yangon with good european food. Especially at high level. Agnes did very well with good quality ingredients, a nice menu and the nicest chef i ever met that personally came to our table and asked if the food was good.
