We're from USA. Love Korean food. Been here for a week eating really good local in other neighborhoods. Wanted lunch before visiting Palace. Very good service. Really good food. Recommended for singles, couples and families.

After a hot walk in the nearby palace we were delighted to tuck into cold Korean noodle soup, large dumplings and kimchi. Good and fast service, clean restaurant and clean toilets. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced, lunch for three people was 30,000 won. Generous portions and needed a rest after eating all the noodles and dumplings.

Excellent food at a very reasonable price in a very nice area! We had ox tail soup, dumpling dish, soju, and raspberry wine, all excellent. Plenty of food and drink for two. They had several appetizers including excellent kimchi. We ended up paying 38,000 Won, a very reasonable price for the food and drink. Very honest people serving. Highly recommended.

We had the spicy cold noodle, big dumplings and beef soup. The dishes were nice and the staff was friendly. The could not speak english but when they saw me eat the cold noodle all wrong they mix all the things for me. Value for money is good. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend when you are near by.

Really delicious oxtail soup (Ggori gomtang). The price was reasonable at 15,000 KRW, and the amount of meat in the bowl was quite generous. The banchan was limited but typical for a sul lung tang place; fresh and tasty as well.

We ordered cold noodle and Steamed Ox tail. At first, as many recommendation, I wanted to order beef soup but steamed ox tail dish looked so good so I changed the order. I didn't regret. It's expensive but very tasty. Should consider to order it. Also, the owner is friend and cute. He can give good advice and doesn't convinced... More

Good food, they are specializing on beef. Ordered special beef soup with rice. Perfect for the freezing weather. The lady even showed me put seasonings on my soup. The place is clean. Some may find it hard to locate and may think its an office establishment, its the black building by the road.

Great location and good hearty food at a very reasonable price. Very predictable food quality. Not a gourmet restaurant but for the price you pay, you will be satisfied. Ate there numerous times and never got disappointed.

Staying in Samcheongdong / Bukchon

Neighbourhood Profile
Samcheongdong / Bukchon
This historic neighbourhood was traditionally home to Seoul’s middle and upper-classes. Now it’s most famed for its clusters of beautiful, traditional Korean homes (called hanok), many of which are found in Bukchon. Many of these homes have now been converted into restaurants, cafes, shops, and even guesthouses, and their unique architecture offers a look at Korea’s traditional beauty. Samcheongdong’s main and side streets attract locals and tourists alike for their quaint and charming scenery, while the Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae) serves as the residence for South Korea’s president. Art fans will love exploring the many independent and private art galleries in the area.
