Awesome place to have Indian food in Cairo, small menu but quantity is good for 2 peoeple. Food is soulful and comes at a great price. Any Indian visiting Cairo should definitely try this out.

Indian Food, when well done, is exquisite, Kandahar used to be good at one time, perhaps when it first opened and when the Mena House Oberoi Hotel was still managed by Oberoi, but the local interests seem to have diminished and the food quality has suffered from this. I should not make excuses for them, but there are quite a... More

At first, the place seemed very promising as the elevator looked really luxurious. But then when we entered the place, it wasn't that chic. We ordered some dishes and appetisers. I ordered Chicken Biryani. Most of our food was tasteless, but just spicy. The prices were very high given the fact that most of our food contained chicken and rice... More

I enjoyed eating indian food there, they r having a quite different varieties in their menu, but over priced !! But they are targeting mainly arab gulf people who r ready to pay !! But over all it's a nice place with great quality of food.

Okay, so after reading good reviews my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Upon arrival our experience seemed very promising as we entered a luxurious golden lift and entered the beautifully decorated restaurant.. Its a shame the food wasn't even worth eating. We ordered two curry dishes and basmalti rice which were lacking any kind of... More

Kandahar is on the famous Gamat street in the middle of busy Cairo district of Mohandiseen and serves quite delicious authentic North Indian food. The ambiance is also quiet. One can in fact book a table that looks over busy street and its an amazing feeling to see the busy street below and still enjoy a quiet and delicious dinner.... More
