This is a great spot for local Egyptian food and drink. I loved the place and the food. It is a bit hard to see from the main road, but after you find it, you will feel lucky :)

Cairo Kitchen is a cosy and charming decorated restaurant in the heart of Zamalek, offering the true Egyptian food (almost home made) without innovations, simple as it is. Prices are pretty fair.

We wanted to like this place a lot more. The decor is cute, and the menu extensive, but it wasn't actually very user friendly. Would they bring a menu? Were we supposed to order cafeteria style? They were actually out of a couple of things I asked for, and while the food overall was decent, the roqaq was kind of... More

We went at around 11 pm after viewing a show. The service was pretty fast (after all we were the only ones there on a late night) and servers were nice. Great food at great prices.

Description
Cairo Kitchen is a new restaurant concept in Egypt that serves up traditional home-cooking in a fresh, contemporary setting. We offer a menu that combines some of the classics of Egyptian home-cooking and the country’s ubiquitous street cuisine, with an original salad bar that takes a fresh approach to local produce, serving it in new and creative ways. We’re paying homage to Egypt’s rich culinary traditions by proposing a new way of presenting and serving these “golden oldies” while staying true to the traditional recipes and ingredients. With bold interiors created by Egyptian architect and designer, Hassan Abouseda, the restaurant is a modern twist on Egypt’s traditional culture.
