Amazing Ethiopian food. Delicious to the last bite and very fresh juices available.. Another favorite spot when in Nairobi.

We were a group of 13 on our final night in Nairobi. We sat outside in the gardens and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Fortunately we had a local who could order the food for us, so I didn't even look at the menu. We had the big platters of food and two side dishes, one of fish (which was delicious)... More

Wow, we just came from Ethiopia so we were expecting good tasting food, but Habesha greatly exceeded our expectations. The shiro, key wat, and assam wat were all delicious! The shiro was spiced deliciously and so was the assam wat. We enjoy spice and the dishes were flavorful and had a good amount of heat also. They have dark and... More

During a business trip to Nairobi for a scientific workshop with local partners, we had dinner in Ethiopian restaurant Habesha. The fact that our local partners had chosen this restaurant was already a very good sign, and I was not disappointed. Quite the contrary, we had a superb, authentic Ethiopian meal in a very nice atmosphere. Being a relatively large... More

I dined at Habesha during a work trip to Nairobi and was really impressed. My friend selected the dishes all of which tasted amazing, including the goat which I tasted for the first time. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel about it and you wouldn't think you were amid the hustle and bustle of Nairobi. Well worth a visit... More

I always come here when I'm in Nairobi. No complaints. Beautiful food, nice people. Love the vegetarian plate, the shuro and the goat. Super affordable and fun.

Habesha is an oasis behind a gate, an old bungalow whose gardens contain a warren of different huts, firepits, stalls and tables under scented trees. Fragrant woods burned on the little bonfires add to the aromas. It's informal and rambling, with charm and a sense of age, but the waiters are very efficient and we were served in a flash.... More

The food here is consistently good and the price for food and drinks is fair. Service is also good though don't expect it to be professional. I particularly recommend the traditionally brewed coffee.

The ingera is incredible and the goat is to die for and probably the best bit:the coffee and popcorn ceremony. It is one of my favourites in nairobi
