About Thyme is a hidden gem within the Westlands area of Nairobi. Quite popular so it's prudent to call ahead of time and make a booking. The service is excellent, quite a diverse menu especially for the mains and dessert. Only draw back was the mosquitoes especially at night. Nonetheless, I'd definitely go back.

First impressions count but clearly the owner does not know this. We arrived at the entreat entrance, which is a bit confused as to where to go, ran into a white lady who I was later told was the owner. I would have expected a welcome but as we were clearly not sure which way to turn she bustled past... More

Ive been to about Thyme only twice over the past year when I've visited Nairobi. Very efficient, friendly staff with great sense of humour. The food was good and the wine selection acceptable.I enjoyed the ambience and its quite busy so a reservation is recommended. A must try for something homely, with a touch of simple elegance. They seem to... More

The food was good (especially the samosas) but overpriced. And we had to move because they seated us outside in the middle of the smoking section with a baby. It wasn't anything awful but not fantastic, either.

With the alot of not so flattering reviews around restaurants participating in Nairobi Restaurant week, I went there with guarded expectations. The fears my wife and I had were unfounded and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. It has a wonderful ambience and I will definitely be back.

My friends and I went for my (belated) birthday dinner here, as there is #NRW. I am a skeptic of Restaurant week menus as i feel their options are not as good as the usual menu but boy, about Thyme DID THAT THING. From the duck spring rolls as the starter, to a fantastic steak (we know how hard it... More

This restaurant has the best starters in town. The Camembert with honey is a must try ! The haloum cheese and the chicken wings were good too. Don't take any main course, only eat starters. All of our main courses were very much below expectations.
