Visited Singh restaurant on a recent holiday in Mombasa and had a delicious meal......thank you! Very reasonably priced too. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking available directly outside. Only downside was the lack of a decent wine list however it didn't detract from our evening!

Had lunch with my partner here and we both really enjoyed our meal. Prices were reasonable and portions were very large, and the food was fresh and tasty.

As an Indian, I would vouch for this place. Despite its location near a noisy market and bus stand, the food speaks for itself. Its also reasonably priced and the portions are good.

We had a spare 30 minutes before going to the airport and decided to experience this highly rated Indian. The ambience is 'old school' but the food is excellent, straight forward, plentiful and realtively inexpensive. We will return.

We have been to this restaurant several times and have never gone wrong with the food. The vegetarian thali is always delicious. Also this is probably the only restaurant where there is no restriction on the amount of rotis you have.

The location is very central .... the indian curries are all very good .... nice ambience and the owner gives all his customers personal attention which is nice for a change in a town like Mombasa .... very good food and their chicken curry on the bone was to die for.

I never miss a chance to eat at the Singh Restaurant when i am in Mombasa. The food is to die for. The clientele are of all races but perhaps 50% of them are Asian which goes to show how authentic the food is.The non-smoking room is air conditioned and the toilets are spotless, not a statement you can make... Don't call yourself an Indian if you've been to Mombasa and not eaten at Singh Restaurant. I live in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - And occasionally drive down all the way to Mombasa just for their food, its worth it :)

In April 1962, as Mombasa was growing into one of East Africa's busiest ports, Dalip Singh Wilkhu had a vision. While working as a signal operator for East African Railways, he was inspired to feed arriving visitors while preparing packaged meals for those preparing to depart.

Singh Restaurant was born. Since then, Singh Restaurant has fed generations of people from various walks of life... Providing lunches and dinners for entire groups of workers, for families, for individuals... And becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, and drawing visitors from nearby cities such as Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.

Our success comes from high quality in all aspects of our business, from the food we serve, to our operational efficiency, to the atmosphere we provide our visitors from the moment they walk in, until the moment they depart.

Our quality of food and quality of service has helped Singh Restaurant gain recognition as the most highly recommended Indian restaurant in Mombasa by sources including TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet.
